you don't hear much however you can smell deer scent.

Velos tail flicked, he knew the deers well, he was like them in some ways. he decided he'd head into the forest and if fate brought them together, so be it. he also stopped for a graze, as he could digest grass. Although, eating it was slightly hard with his wolfish head.

you weren't sure how to befriend it, but it still seemed interested in you. He slowly approached you, sidestepping towards the river slightly.

It left a trail towards the field, it'd probably found something else to chase.
I follow the trail to the field, still curious about the griffin. (somehow you guessed that the griffin was one of my favorite animals...now I can't do anything but follow it xD)

I look around the field for something unusual.

There was a strange scent and you saw dandelion seeds flying across. You couldn't ping point anything else that may be unusual. The griffin suddenly looked at you, a menace in it's eyes.

I slowly cautiously back away, trying not to anger the creature.

It started bounding after you quickly, you needed to pass into the forest soon and hide again if you didn't want to die.
