Shadow chased after him happily. She wasn't thinking of anything but playing with him. She suddenly stopped and listened. She then chased after him once more.

Orinight-
The sudden sound is her stopping caused him to slow his steps allowing her to catch him easily. He lay on the ground panting in between laughs. "That was fun." He panted looking over at her. "Shadow there's something I want to ask you..."

"What?" Shadow said happily. She was smiling and no longer seemed sad. She was slightly confused about what he would ask

Orinight-
"Would you...be my mate?" He asked as sweetly as he could. The whole play time and such had destract led him from his true job that he had been sent into the woods to achieve. He had been sent to capture a colored sylesti. Though he hadn't caught her the two were still in danger. If the hunters found them now she would be killed. He didn't want to be a trapper mind you but in order to survive he had to be. The humans would kill him if he failed. None of this crossed his mind though as he watched for her reaction.

Shadow didn't know what to say with her mind reeling at the idea. Was she ready yet? No she was not. "I will travel with you for now...... but the mate thing well.... I will need sometime to think about it." Shadow said truthfully.

Orinight-
She seemed to have chosen wisely though inside he felt crushed. "Very well." He said rather sadly. She knew not the danger she had put herself in. At this point though he thought nothing more of the whole love for her thing. He had a job. "I have a den not far from here if you wish to sleep there for the night."

Korak nose twitched at the smell of blood, and he lifted his head to see Kara reading. He also noticed the prey, and winced. I'm supposed to be the hunter, not her . . . Especially not her because she's pregnant!

"That would be better than collapsing on the forest floor like I usually do." Shadow said. "And I am fairly tired so I will take you up on your offer Ori." She smiled hoping he understood that she had been running all her life.

Orinight-
He nodded lightly before leading her away. This felt wrong, she was but a young individual whom had had nothing in life and now he was taking her away to her death. This tore him on the inside. He loved her, even if they had just met but alas he had a job to do. If the humans saw him fail then they would kill him with the others. He couldn't return empty handed.

Shadow then stopped and she looked at the shadows. She sighed and she felt dizzy slightly. She thought nothing of it until she stumbled forward and collapsed.
