"That was a beautiful metaphor.", Floyd joked. He was turned back around now, still shaken up from yearly being tossed off. "But yeah, it looked like it had Hydrophobia or Mange." He frowned, now feeling bad for the pack. Maybe I should've shot it to put it out of its misery. He thought solemnly.
Floyd had Gus follow the two into the river, slouching a bit. He was still tired from riding all night. "There is no way I'm walking.", He said. "I think we need to set up camp. Huh, Gus?" He gave the horse a scratch behind the ear.
"Yeah, I really need to get brushed and let Floyd sleep.", The blond said, pretending to be his horse. He smiled at his own antics, but he seriously wanted the day to be over.

(Hydrophobia was a word used for Rabies)

"Gus if you ever want to change riders I could always use another horse," West joked, "All you'd need to do is dump Floyd in the water he needs a bath badly. Here I was worried about something else but yeah it looked more like mange." West kept Lone Star in the river for a while before gently guiding him out and dismounted, "Why don't we move a bit farther from the river then make camp?" Lone Star nods once in agreement.

"What?", He shouted, wrapping his arms around his horse's neck. "He'd never do that, we're a team." Floyd puffed out his cheeks, slipping off of Gus's back so he could lead him out of the water. "Do I really need a bath that bad?" He sniffed his shirt and then crinkled his nose. Maybe he should take a bath but now's not the time.
"Sounds good, we should probably make camp in the tree cover, up that way.", Floyd said, pointing towards a grove of trees. The blond lead Gus out of the river, trudging through the water. "That way we can have a fire or something."

"Floyd we have to keep the fire small and smokeless then besides I'd rather not even risk a fire right now anyways because of what we just ran into,'' West coughed making Lone Star back up a pace, "It's alright boy just calm down. Then again you have to learn at some point.'' He debated on telling Floyd that he might not be there in the morning but decided against it, "And I was joking about taking Gus he's your horse.''

(Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I got really unmotivated for a bit)

"I know, I know- we just don't have good sleepwear on us right now.", Floyd sighed. "I don't want to catch a cold from it neither." The blond crossed his arms, studying Daniel for a split second. That cough was a bit concerning- but he didn't want to bring it up. After a moment, he continued after the other man in a jog.
"I know you were joking about Gus!", He lied. "I just wanted to... Um... Make sure you didn't mean it-" He cut his sentence off with a yawn, already ready to settle down for the evening.

West nods once, "Floyd that's a myth trust me I've slept out in the cold without a tent or anything enough times to know it. Just make sure to get some pine needles or branches under you so you have a barrier between you and the ground." Lone Star gently pokes Floyd with his nose before turning and grabbing a brush. "Floyd if I tried to brush Gus do you think he'd let me so you could turn in early?" West thought again about telling Floyd what he was planning but didn't want to scare him by telling him he was leaving in the morning to get supplies. He knew Floyd might not hear the second part of what he was going to say.

"You are also the survivalist here- It's like you've grown an extra layer of skin.", Floyd joked. "But- I hope you know you're stupid information.., definitely won't be written in a notepad.., later." He appreciated this information, but his ego simply couldn't let him be thankful.
The blond shucked when Lone Star prodded him, giving the horse a gentle rub on the nose- This caused Gus to become jealous and he began to chew on his shirt."I can brush him, thank you for the offer though." He wanted to take the proposal, but he knew Gus would try to bite West for even coming too close to him. "I don't want you to lose a finger to my blood-thirsty stead.", Floyd chuckled, pushing his horse away from his shirt gently.

West broke off a branch and hit Floyd lightly with it, "You'd better remember it then otherwise you'll freeze and I'll laugh. Floyd I need you to know something when you wake up in the morning I might not be here. We need supplies and you'll slow me down and maybe get us into more trouble. I know how to hide in a town so please just stay here until I get back or until dark whichever comes first." Lone Star shook his head stepping away from Floyd and Gus waiting for West to brush him. West on cue went to brush Lone Star keeping an eye out for any trouble. It took a little longer then normal for West to brush Lone Star becasue Lone Star kept trying to nip at the brush. "What's your problem Lone Star? You've seen a brush before and you're not hurt so calm down will you?" Lone Star nipped West missing the brush. He back away looking apologetic. "I forgive you just hold still you've got a knot there and it's gonna get worse if I don't get it out now. Floyd anything else you want to ask about?"

Floyd glared at him, reaching for the branch. "Yeah, yeah- Whatever.", He stuck out his tongue. "You just enjoy my suffering, huh?" Floyd paused when Daniel brought up leaving, clearly a bit uncomfortable with the thought of being left alone. He stayed silent for a moment, thinking it over.
Knowing it would be useless to argue, he agreed. "Alright, just get me some canned rabbit.", Floyd said. He stopped to take Gus's saddle and reines off so he could get to brushing him. Gus nipped at Floyd's ear one last time before getting gently pushed away. The blond began to thoroughly brush the horse, whistling absentmindedly. It was obvious that he was trying to forget that he was going to be left out because he was a burden.
"Huh? Oh, nah.", Floyd smiled. "I don't want to say much else." He continued to brush Gus in the same spot for a bit longer before realising it. With a quiet apology to the horse, he moved down towards his back.

(Well, if West is going to be out tomorrow, either Floyd could leave for a bit out of spite and bump into her. Or he could wait and they could bump into her together.)
