Dricyriz Cihevle (Drik)

Dricyriz seemed to stiffen a bit at Khririooa's reminder, somthing that caused the medic to look like a young being caugh the hand in the candy jar. The small alien straightened his entenas quickly and tryed his best to look professional, choking down any more of his rambling and theories before they had time to form into words. " B-but of course, i woudnt want them to be too overwhelmed on their first day..."

Dalek Aablisc (Dale)

While the rest of their crew was chattering about the new arival, Dale had been working at finishing some paperwork for the humans, waiting for their arrival. They had been curious as well but they refrained themself from being the first too meet them knowing that their stature and scars was often enough to intimidate alot of speacies. They still peaked outside of their office to check on what was happening in the ship from time to time.

*Ooo I can answer that* Riri volunteered. *Humans traditionally name offspring after their assigned gender and familys locational origins, they also sometimes give a name from a previous family member* They summarized as they flipped through notes. She tried to make herself look smaller and therefore less intimidating to the new humans.


*Uhh thats right, I guess Im Veldiir, the new tech support for the crew* Maya introduced herself, finding it more comfortable to her to be identified by her surname. First names felt a little too casual for a first meeting

"oh that's so interesting!" i whisper excitedly, pinning my wings tightly to my back in an effort to look less threatening. it feels unnatural, a gesture like that would be considered aggressive on my home world, but i imagine my wings would weird them out.

"i am Astra, Sapherim" i tell them, extending my hand to shake - another one of the human gestures i had learned. is it weird that i was researching them? ... maybe.

Maya didnt make eye contact as she extended her own hand to Astras, carefully, giving a brief and tense handshake before letting go and holding her hands back up against herself. Riri did their best to try to articulate how the new girl was feeling. She had enough experience to know the girl was uncomfortable with being in a new situation rather than the handshake

Iomina Nomori - Io

Iomina had stayed back with Dricyriz, trying to stay professional and let the younger members of the crew meet the newcomers. It was obvious how compelled she was to run after them and finally get answers. She did write the title of her note file though; "Humans", written in her swooping handwriting that could only be derived from years of writing in her native tongue.
"Neither would I, Dric. I guess our studies can wait until tomorrow, perhaps?", She hummed, her ears flaring. She did want to talk before then, though. Iomina wanted to learn everything about these wondrous new crewmembers she was about to meet.


Tobias Parson-Kathrine - TPK

Tobias trudged up the ramp to where two of the pre-existing were waiting to greet them. He was a bit bewildered by the excitement of the winged one, but he quickly got over it. When he got up to where the two were standing he set his things down, suppressing a yawn. He kind of just wanted to get to the coffee machine- or whatever they have on the ship- and drink his weight in caffeine.

(I can't wait to see, honestly.)

Dricyriz nodded, he was doing his best not to assault the newcomers with questions and requests tho his multiples eyes were shining with inmistakeable curiosity, his rapid flight patern was betraying his want to fly toward the two humans at top speed. " Well, if i can get them at the right time we may even be able to start today...! " He had to interrupt himself again not to start rambling, curiosity being quite literaly in his nature tho, he knew this restreint would eventualy run out.

Dalek Aablisc (Dale)

With a satisfied sigh the Capitain finaly exited their work post and headed to the mess hall, it was more then time for them to do the official presentations.

Once in the room they didnt wasted time before starting the usual presentation. They had read somwhere that humans used the display of their teeths as a positive greeting so wanting to look as non-threatening as possible they attempted to replicate it by displaying their fangs. " Welcome to the Nebulus, i am the capitain Dalek Aablisc tho you can refer to me as Dale if you prefer. I supose that you have already had the time to get somwhat aquinted with the team ? If not you will have plenty of time to catch up on that later, please come with me for a small tour of your new... ah... there isnt a human word for that, well for a small tour of the ship."

i glance around uneasily, wondering why Dale is baring his teeth. is that a sign of aggression on their planet? i don't remeber, but it sure is on my planet. i'm not going to take that personally and just hope its friendly, or at the very least not directed at me.

Qadians grin with their eyes, mostly, so i flash the humans on board a happy look to let them know i'm friendly. there, now they know i am non threatening and sociable. with that done, i turn my attention back to Dalek, listening to what they have to say.

Iomina Nomori - Io

Iomina couldn't help but make a happy noise at Dricyriz, she was glad to see him excited over something. "I guess we may be able to if we ask nicely!", She hummed, leaning against the table. Iomina just hoped the humans would be able to get along with them nicely... She's heard how... aggressive some humans can be. Her happy expression faded for a moment, her lips pulling into a thin line, contemplating the situation. A split second later, when Dalek entered the room, her expression changed back to happiness- glad to see the captain wasn't being shy anymore.

Tobias Parson-Kathrine - TPK

Tobias cracked his back, still very stiff from the trip. He was resting against the wall, observing his new crewmates quietly. He wasn't trying to be menacing, Tobias just wanted to understand their mannerisms before introducing himself.
When the captain made their appearance, he straightened, suddenly a little more interested. Tobias still looked like a total dumpster fire, but at least he was now a completely alert one. He didn't know if he should introduce himself or not, surely the captain already knew his name- or to be polite they would ask him and the other human individually. Tobias took a breath, calming himself. We don't have time for your social issues right now, TPK, get a grip.
He glanced at the Qadian who flashed him some sort of welcoming expression and he half-a**ed a smile, too tired to do anything more. God, I need caffeine. He thought, stifling a yawn, trying not to be rude.

Maya glanced nervously at the Velker baring its teeth, hoping it wasnt a sign of aggression. Why hasnt she done more research on the aliens she would be working with? She was mentally beginning to panic at how unprepared she was.

She relaxed upon hearing about the ship tour. That was at least a normal routine thing. She hated feeling like an outsider and knew historically adding people to pre-existing teams often didnt go well, but that was only by human standards and this was way beyond that.



Riri perked up at the mention of a tour, paying close attention to the humans moods. The female human seemed to be doing fine, but the male felt tired, and was likely not in the friendliest mood. Perhaps it wasnt the best idea for an alien to contact an unhappy human, but she wanted to do her job to the best of her ability..
