With the specific powers, iron itself can weaken a fey's magic. So if you want, those iron injuries could've been what caused it~~

Well, these are some reference images for other sirens I've made. (Here), and (here). They should help you out a lot, though I'll add a little;


There are two breeds of siren- cold-water and warm-water. Warm water, usually called summer sirens, have thinner scales and have two-finned ears, like the black siren in the first image. Cold water, called winter sirens, have thicker scales and have three-finned ears, like the green siren in the second.

Colors can be anything. Go crazy with them. Their patterns can be as simple or as complicated as you'd like. The only rule is that the colors match- sirens are known for being visually appealing, color-wise.

Their eyes aren't exactly like how they are in the images- they have pupils. These pupils are tear-drop shaped and, like everything else, can be any color.


Also, these images are depicting them in their land forms. In water, they're similar, but have a large tail instead of legs. Kinda like a mermaid, except it's a deadly singing fish person.

Sirens do not have water powers. They can/ are able to:



*Use glamour. One of their common hunting methods is to convince prey to enter the water by making themselves look attractive.
*Singing (unsurprisingly). Different melodies have different effects. Their main songs are for hunting prey, but they actually also have melodies to heal, calm themselves, be happy, sleep, and other positive effects. These effects can be used on other fey, but unlike the hunting song they need permission for it to work.
*Being pretty hard to kill. Like I said before, their scales are pretty strong. Unless an enemy is either extremely skilled or gets lucky and manages to get their weapon in a crevice between scales, weapons isn't an option for siren-killing.
*Allow non-sirens to breathe in the water. This is extremely easy for them to do- they can even do it while they're asleep.
*Be much more comfortable around iron than other fey. Their scales take a long time (about 5 minutes) to be seriously harmed by iron, which can be life-saving should iron get in the water or touch them. If they're wearing gloves, they can even use iron weapons.

Ok, I hope that works.

Also, sirens don't have royalty, as they're extremely split. They have something called the vunika, which speaks with other vunika to negotiate, ally, etc., but that's as close as they get. Their commanders (Tinuse) are the closest thing they have to a 'queen', as she leads all hunting parties in a siren clan.


So maybe he's the cousin of his clan's vunika or tinuse? Maybe even both? The sirens aren't going to centralize until the early 2010's, so he's not going to ever be the cousin of a siren queen or king.

Quick thing I forgot to mention- last names aren't really a thing with fey. Your characters are welcome to have them, but no species of fey has hereditary last names, meaning your fey would've had to given these last names to themselves.
