Florence wanted to correct Ellios on how smart he was; he just didn't want to get caught.
He just hummed in response, not wanting to mess anything up. He continued to softly carry on with the coming songs, his brain slowly receding from the worried pit of disparity it was in. (Though he was still very nervous.)
Florence noticed Ellios's blush and smiled, though he didn't want to distract him. So he tried not to by pulling away a little, but he continued to keep close to Their hands. "You have no idea how glad I am to hear that." , He blushed, sitting up again so he could continue to be comfortable.

I gently sway back and forth to the music pouring in from my earbuds. I can't wipe the tiny smile off my face, and I gently squeeze Florence's hand. He still seems a bit nervous, which is understandable.
"I'm here for you," I murmur softly, not looking away from the road. I really wanna give him a kiss, but our safety comes first.
"Feel free to sleep," I mumble, squeezing his hand again. "I won't let go," I say in a voice barely above a whisper. I'm not good at this romance thing, but Florence knows that. Hopefully, he'll forgive me foregive being so awkward.

Florence had been watching him out of the corner of his eye. He blushed at how sweet Ellios was, glad he made him smile. 'At least I have someone with me who's kind of in the same boat.', Florence thought, kicking at a loose bit of the floormat.
The blond snapped his head up and smiled at what Ellios said. "Thank you." , He hummed, focusing on gently rubbing his knuckles.
Florence was half paying attention to his surroundings when Ellios spoke. He only caught the last of Ellios's first sentence, but at least he understood. "Oh. Okay." , Florence blushed at what Ellios said. He didn't care about theatrics or anything like that, at least he knew that his feelings were mutual.
He settled into his seat and began to rest his eyes, continuing to rub Ellios's hand.

I continue to hum happily, enjoying the simple presence of Florence in the van with me. Some arse cuts in front of me and I blare the horn at him, flinching slightly. I'm not one to be rude, but this is out way across the country and I can't lose it.
I run my fingers through my hair and glance in the rearview mirror. My roots are poping up under the teal and purple strands. I badly want to change the color, but that's not at all important. Besides, I'm not even sure what color I would do. But the blue is turning green and the purple is turning blue and it makes me look like I'm wearing some sort of plant on my head.

(They shouldn't be across the country just yet, in their time they probably just started driving two hours ago- not to be rude.)
(Also, do you want to time skip to a couple hours later where they need to fill the gas/when Florence wakes up?)

(Whoops, some miscommunication :D
I meant that the van was their only way to get across the country - as far as I'm aware, they're not even outside of state lines yet.
And feel free to time skip to whenever you feel is a good time :3)

It was an hour since Florence fell asleep. He began to stir and his nose scrunched, the sun shining in his eyes. Florence let out a mumbled complaint, shifting one last time before he opened his eyes.
Florence blinked up at Ellios and sat up a little. "Hi." , He mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"How long was I out?" , Florence said after a moment of taking in his surroundings. He noticed a "Welcome to Illinois" sign and smiled, glad they were finally going to be out of Ohio. He looked back at Ellios expectantly.

I flick my eyes over to Florence.
"Hallo. It's been about an hour," I say. "We've just hit Illinois, if you missed it."
I blink fondly at him.
"I'm glad you're up. I enjoy spending time with you," I mumble sheepishly. "Did you sleep well?"

Florence nodded, trying to lift his other hand, finding that they were still holding hands. "Oh-", He said, a blush appearing on his face. He was very happy though, surprised too.
Even if he knew it already, hearing that Ellios was glad he was awake made him swoon. "Of course. You make me really happy too.", He replied, gently bringing Ellios's hand to his mouth sho he could kiss it.

I smile brightly at Florence. Even though we're in such a sticky situation, the younger boy always has the ability to make me grin.
I look at my watch, simply enjoying Florence's attention.
"Florence, it's about noon. I know you wanna get pretty far today, but do you think it's possible we could stop for lunch?" I ask sheepishly, nervous that I might make him upset by messing up his plans. I open my mouth to change my mind, but I'm cut off by a loud rumble from my stomach. I feel the tips of my ears heat up and I angle my face slightly away from him, embarrased.
