When you play like that, it's not confusing at all. It really is completely personal preference, and in that case, perhaps you should be asking for the option to sort by level OR rarity, instead of asking for a complete change of a system everyone's had to get used to?

I also don't really understand why you keep throwing insults into your comments. Insulting the system, or those who made it, won't get you what you want. The whole sorting thing is, as Talyn said, personal preference; you even said it yourself, "... my personal preference...". Everyone is going to want the sorting to behave a different way, just because the way you like it isn't the way it is doesn't make it "daft" or "nonsensical"...

Please don't get into an argument over something so silly.

When I revamp the Inventory page, I will do my best to improve sorting. I won't promise anything at this point in time because it's hard to say specifics when I don't really know how the final result will be built.

But I will do my best to make it as user-friendly as possible.
