She flew fast and quickly, every now and then glancing back to see Michael in pursuit. She needed to get out of here, and quickly. She stayed high up in the sky, where her element was best and she had some form of cover.

Micheal let fire build up inside him and then exhaled a plume of smoke at Lilja while trying to close the distance between them. The smoke wasn't pitch black and didn't come as easily as it would have for a dark dragon, but obscuring Lilja's vision wasn't his intention. He did it so if she were to inhale the smoke, it would make her less able to flee from him again. However, they were outside and gust of winds might carry the smoke away.

She turned back at him again, moving away from the cloud of smoke. She dove down into the forest, shifting into her human form and continuing on foot.

Micheal tilted his wings downwards back to the forest and landed near where Lilja had. He shifted into his human form as well and followed the trail of footprints Lilja had left in the snow.

She began creating blockades of ice to slow him down as she kept running from him.

Micheal went up and over the blockades of ice, but they did slow him down. Lilja was still in his view for now.

She glanced back at him, raising up more tall walls of ice.

Micheal started burning his way through the ice by punching them with flaming fists. Voices could be heard ahead of them and glimpses of the people ahead could be seen through the pine trees' leaves.

She flipped onto her hood, running ahead into the crowd of people, easily being able to blend in with the rest of them.

Just as Micheal jumped over the last ice wall and ran over to where the crowd was, the crowd had dispersed with the rest of the town folk. Now that the adrenaline of chasing Lilja was starting to dissipate, he noticed how tired and hungry he was. He had stopped bounty hunting for a while after being with Elise after all. He took out the remains of the popcorn from earlier and stuffed the zebra popcorn in his mouth before throwing the paper cone away.
He looked at the people around him before walking a bit away from the town to shift and fly around the perimeter for a while in case Lilja decided to leave it.
