Sorry, I'm gonna say no support to this. First off, it's rather pointless as you can already see how much gold you have on your account at any given time. Secondly, as already stated by other users, there's a list of negatives that can come from this feature. (Note, I'm not trying to put you down for having an idea- it's just always good to think of and explain why a feature might help the website when you present it.)

What this comes down to is, I can't think of a single positive thing this feature would provide.

Meanwhile, the list of cons for adding this feature are numerous.

*Even with an on/off button, other players may feel peer pressured into showing it or it could be unfairly demanded of them when they're trying to make a purchase/use a service by another user.
*Begging/whining from players who struggle to make gold to players who do know how - as stated by Kattya.
*Players suggesting richer players should pay more because they have the gold - as stated by Kattya
*Feelings of inadequacy from older players who struggle to make gold if they see they're always behind/always struggling.
*Makes your account a hacking target - as stated by Kattya
*This really is just an invasion of privacy. No one needs to know how much gold another user has.

To any players who are thinking this is a great way to see if people are "lying" about being able to pay gold back:
It is not your job to police other players on how they use/spend their gold. Just looking at how much a user has on hand and judging from that is absolutely pointless anyway. I could have 10,000 gold showing on my account at one moment and then easily that could skyrocket to 500k in the next instant. You could have gold in the trade broker that you haven't collected yet. You could have lent it to someone else and are waiting for a CoD from them to get it back. You could have missions waiting to be completed or satchels to open or items to sell. You could have gold stored on the currency exchange so you don't spend it.

If you want to open a gold loaning service that is 100% up to you. That does not give you the right to know how much another player has in monetary value. If it's gold you can't afford to lose my suggestion would be to don't open a service to lend it out at all because there's really no way to follow up on getting it back. Who knows when a user you've loaned gold to might just decide to quit and never come back? When it comes to lending or loaning gold you should be ready and prepared that you may not get that gold back. (When I offer to lend someone gold I do just that, it's pretty much a gift and if I get it back I get it back, if I don't - it's gold that I could afford to lend them - no big deal.)
If you need a way to check to see if a player can pay back, why not just base it off of the gold they've made in their playtime on Sylestia which can already be seen?

Eh, I dont really support this >< I agree with all of the people who dont agree with this.

I dont see anything beneficial. I ran a Gold Loan service myself, but I dont really need to worry about scamming because I stated on my profile that its against the rules with a link to the terms of service. I know, scamming can still happen but very rarely. It wouldnt make a huge difference from players who scam.

I think seeing how much gold we earned is already enough. People get jealous and are very competitive with how much players earned. Since we already have that, in my opinion we dont need to see how much we currently have on our hands.

Overall this wouldnt be worth the time and effort making because the only point that people like is that players are honest while borrowing gold and stuff. If players were to scam they would not turn on their on button if this existed. Actually, if this were to be a thing barely anyone would turn it on.

If I dont make much sense in here, welp. Im posting at 5:01 am :/
