Xolia noticed his wave, and glanced around, seeing if he was waving to someone else. There wasn't anyone else on the street. After a moment she returned a small wave to him.

(Ah, I won't spoil it, then.)
"Alright, I will." He held the door open for her to walk in before him. "And you can bring your dog inside too, if you want. No one here is allergic to dog hair. And my family is out watching a movie anyway. I'll have it cleaned up in no time." He didn't mention that his parents would be ecstatic that he spent time with a girl instead of doing his usual nerdy stuff.

He closed the door, with him outside, before realizing his stupid mistake and opening the door and getting inside the house. He closed the door behind him and went to microwave popcorn.
