If they had pinkish ceres then they were male. But that's so sad... I would be devistated is Smoky flew away

Blue/purple is male, pink/brown/anything else is female (in fully mature ones).
Believe me, I researched and researched that because Winter's cere was a weird whitish pinkish brown color and I was torn between naming her Winter's Crystal or Winter's Frost xD

Ahhh right right yes yes yes. I honestly don't know what my cockatiel is, I think he is male, but the people at 2 stores said female. Pinkish-brown cere.

I didn't know you played piano though, you must have been good at it if they sang along. I used to play but quit because my instructor scared me

Oh- We've had um. We've had nine birds..
Out first cockatiel Pretty Bird died because it was like really old, belonged to my grandfather
Second cockatiel (No lcue, probably named Einstein or Pretty Bird tbh) flew away
Third cockatiel Einstein i think also died of age
Our amazon George also belonged to my grandfather and died of a heart attack (he had the worst diet before he came to our house)
Our severe macaw Phoenix is still very much alive and well
We got our scaly-breasted lorikeets at the same rescue place we got Phoenix, they were all seized from a hoarding situation so most bird were in bad health, not very friendly, or plucking themselves.
Indy and Fiji were really friendly from the beginning and we noticed Fiji wasn't as active as Indy. Fiji ended up having a stroke and dying and Indy got really sad after that, but Indy's all better now and we joke that she's bonded with both me and Phoenix because if she isn't with Phoenix she's tangled in my hair or on my should talking to me.
(The lady told us that lorikeets wouldn't talk, or couldn't, but Phoenix can and I chat with him while I do my chores. I guess Indy learned how to say Hi and make other bird noises like Phoenix.)

On time I was hanging out in my basement with Indy, who can fly mind you, and I walked outside to grab something with Indy still on my shoulder. As soon as I realized I freaked out and ran back inside. Scariest experience I've had with a bird so far

Smoky flew onto the street and a car came by and barely missed Smoky. :shudders:
