she crepted up behind her targeting her pockets creeping up slowly. she knew that the guard had picked up on her, she made her move and went in for the pocket hoping to grab her next meal.

Myrin glanced up at the 1st prince as he entered, going in after him. He stood off to the side, behind his 3 half siblings. He annoyedly glanced up at the saddened Empress, a smile going on his face as he'd remember all the time he heard his mother cry at night because of that woman. Whether it be the emperor visiting the empress instead of her, or the empress just being plain rude to her, he was happy to see it being her in deep despair.

Vincent's eyes were half-lidded, the scowl on his face disappearing as he saw the saddened look on her face. He was instantly worried, glancing around to not meet her eyes. He started to play with his long hair, taking a section and fiddling with it. He looked at his siblings, subtly moving over to the side that he wasn't in front of any.
He ran his fingers through the section, doing a lazy braid as he awaited the news. If he thought about it, he hadn't seen his father in some time, causing him to furrow his brows again. Was the news about him? If so, what had happened?

Cassian had stood next to his sister, but once he noticed the smile on Myrin's face a glare was sent his way. He probably disliked Myrin the most, just because him and his mother disliked the empress. He let his attention drift back to his mother, waiting for her to speak. He had noticed the sad look, but his blank face hadn't changed at all.

Alexandra had quickly spun out of the way, her hand catching the arm of the thief. She had quickly moved them into an alley way and pinned the girl against the wall. She got lucky that she was able to catch this girl, she knew how sneaky thieves could be. "What do you think your doing missy?" She had spoken with a growl as she kept the girl locked in her hold.

Cynthia stood slowly. Then opened her mouth. " You're father, Emperor Claude, has passed. He was assassinated late last night. " she revealed.
Chartiana stared at her mother, eyes wide in horror. She had expected bad news, but...not this. Nothing, like this. She and her father had a wonderful relationship, and now hes...gone. If only she had said something, she could've prevented his death.

His breath had hitched as his mother broke the news. He could barely think with all the new questions, and he didn't dare ask his mother any of them. His body seemed to tense as he looked away. He wasn't that close to his father, he was closer to the empress instead. He was still upset, the man was his father after all.

Her grip had stayed the same as she looked over the girl. "Why don't you get a real job then? I'm sure you could find one." Her voice was still laced with venom, but she seemed to have calmed down a bit. She almost felt bad for the girl, but she was still a thief in the end and nothing could change that.

Myrin's smile didn't falter. He had a horrible relationship with his father, so he didn't care that he just died. Not one bit. In fact, it was a room for opportunity. Ignoring his distressed half siblings, he stepped up.
" If Father is dead, who will take the throne? " He asked, glancing back and forth between the empress and his siblings.

He wanted to tell Myrin how insensitive his question was. How horrible the smile on his face was. Yet he couldn't, and he was also curious on what the answer would be. His teeth clenched as his body heated up. He was stressed out on what would happen, if any of them would be targeted and he was upset that his father was dead.
