We're all on the same team here, guys. Remember to please always be civil and respectful. The Suggestion Box Forum is intended to be a community driven forum where the playerbase shares its ideas and so player to player discussion is 100% expected and intended.
Obviously though, it is expected to be done in a courteous way. We are a relatively large community and I'm sure everyone shares a massively wide range of differing opinions and that's totally fine.
So please try and keep that in mind when having discussions here, or elsewhere.
Regarding this specific suggestion, the reason that philters are fairly limited is because Sylestia is strongly driven by its pet customization and we feel that if you could just simply select whatever Traits for every pet that it would be very game breaking and defeat a huge swath of potential content for the majority of the playerbase. So philters exist moreso as ways to touch up or make minor adjustments to pets as wanted. Some, like the Trait Disruptor, exist as a way to pseudo re-roll a pet's Traits with 'no limitations', however, again, to prevent it being game breaking, the results are random.
In a lot of cases, the costs for such items aren't necessarily related to the cost required to 'use' or 'code' said feature - but the pricing is set up in a way to be a barrier and to help control how often something is used/accessed/sought after. I feel this is vital for game balancing purposes. It gives the opportunity for those who want it without it being something that can be taken advantage of and ruin balance.
The reason we say that we allow full customization of pets is because most games give you no option whatsoever to really customize things. A lot of games have pre-set colors or even pre-set color combinations. Traits may not even be a 'thing' or if they are, again, limited. So relative to those options, we allow players to pursue a pet of basically whatever they want. However, it is expected that this pursuit is done by utilizing the core features of the game - which includes breeding, pet creating features, wild pets, etc.

I absolutely do not support this. As my buddy Encryption said, it would make this a pay-to-play game. And I have more important things to pay for than this game. But I always manage to buy dias when I can.
But putting up to 6 traits on a pet with one Mutator? Do you know what that would do to breeding projects? (Sorry if I sound rude) but that would not be fair to us players who put so much time and effort to make 6 vis projects would all go to waste, and it devalues the pet because they would be so easy to get. I'm sorry, but this isn't really a good Idea, but I am looking forward to other Ideas you may have

1) Yeah, you do sound rude, in fact.
2) I didn't say 6 traits with one mutator, I said 6 traits with 6 mutators. If you're going to respond rudely, please at least read my post correctly before you start dropping insults.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the point then. I have explained my stances in my replies to your friend Encryption and I am not interested in rehashing my points again.
Nowhere did I insult you in my reply. I didn't call you names, unlike your initial reply to me. You did read my post incorrectly, and you came into this thread with insults based on your incorrect reading of my post. I pointed out facts. I did so bluntly, but you're the one who called a stranger crazy for stating their opinion in a forum which exists for the sole purpose of stating opinions.

I wasn't gonna reply but...
Um...I might just be screenblind from playing too much Super Smash Bros (i tried and failed to not come in the bottom two-long story)
But i don't see anywhere on Asp's initial post that called you any sort of name.
But that's all i wanted to say. I'm done getting into arguements over trivial matters. Everyone's got their opinions and its the holidays...

I am just going to lock this thread.
I already provided an official response on the topic itself and at this point the thread is just further devolving.
