Ilona peaked out of the tent. She was about to run at him with her sword but stopped. She sighed. She walked by his side. Eh, if you plan to kill someone, maybe don't play with their horse. she said. She still had a tight grip on her sword incase he tried anything. Hi Kongur, my baby. she cooed at the horse.

"Well why not?" Isaac hissed defensively, " Your horse is nicer than you are, miss. " He continued to stroke the horse, keeping an eye on Ilona. "I'm Isaac, by the way. And I'd love it if you wouldn't hold your sword handle like it's the only thing keeping you from falling into an endless hell-pit. It's making your uninjured hand bleed." He got bored of talking to Ilona and refocused his attention to the horse.

No, I think I will keep hold of my sword. I am not quite worried about the blood loss. I am sorry if a demon who just tried to kill me makes me a little less agreeable. Ilona returned. She turned away. She began cleaning up the broken glass surrounding the mirror she had broken moments earlier. She huffed and started to mumble something, barely audible.

"Demon this and demon that. Are you a racist or what?" His voice came out harsh, angered. " If I were trying to kill you, you would be dead. And it's not like your sword can really protect you, it's reflective surface actually allows me to reach you at all times. Thank you for that. " His lidded eyes turned to glare at her, "You really do need to stop being such a child and calm down. By the way, there's a wendigo roaming the forest. " Not far off, a road sounded to confirm his statement.

Ilona glared at him. Hmmph, I am not being a child. she said quietly. She sighed. I can handle myself. I have for... nearly oh, I don't know how long now. She stated. She put out the fire then started packing up her campsite.

"Well doll, don't forget that if you're ever in a jam just call my name and I'll be happy to slaughter the world for you. " Isaac fake-bowed and touched a shard of broken glass from her mirror, and in an instant he was gone.. as if he'd never been there in the first place. The only remnant of his existence was the murder-scene in the camp's reflection and a white rose that had been twisted around Oran's gleaming hilt.

Ilona readjusted the mask. She ran her fingers around the rose and smiled slightly. She knew by tomorrow his name and face would likely leave her memory, but she would admit meeting him was nice. She set Oran in its scabbard then proceeded with throwing her things into a little wagon and hooking it up to Kongur. She kissed the horse's neck then climbed onto his back and had him start going.

He sat both up in a tree, his eyes following the girl as she and her horse set out. He was disappointed that she hadn't given him her name, but she'd probably just forget him like every human did. Eventually.. Everyone forgot him. Even his demon brethren didn't remember he existed. But still something pulled him towards this mortal, so he watched her from a distance, simply wondering what it would be like to be human, to be allowed to have feelings without being judged. "Wake up, Isac. She's a climatologists and you're a demon. What kind of future could you have with a creature that hates you entirely for not being human." He scolded himself , but decided he might was well follow anyway.

Ilona began to hum. It was a song she recalled from childhood. She had always assumed it was one her mother would sing to her, but she couldn't remember. She stopped Kongur and shut her eyes tight. Ah... why? she said. She shook her head then gently squeezed Kongur, letting him know to continue again.

Suddenly a 13ft beast ran into the horse's path. Dark-furred humanoid body and a deer skull made up the wendigo's features, and he stopped, almost moved on as he saw the horse, but as he saw Ilona it stopped dead and headed right for her, taking about three long strides before his open skull jaw was almost upon Koger.
