I'd also try some vitamins that can promote healthy nail growth like Biotin, and also check out this article: https://share.upmc.com/2018/03/brittle-nails-causes-treatments/

You can do multiple things to help but what i've seen

~Try hydrating them...*not too much* for they might be too dry you can buy oils to do this~
~Paint your nails with certain colors, since they won't stain your nails and it helps build it up *unless your like me and chew on your nails....even with nailpoilish*

And if all else fails
there is this certain type of manicure that you can get where it's this powder that turns into sorta a glossy think coat that helps strengthen your nails.

Active sporty girl + clarinet player. My nails catch on the clarinet and i ride english style. I can't stand long nails because they get dirty and catch and break. Chipped paint annoys me soo much, so i don't paint either. My longest record for keeping fully painted nails nice is 3 or 4 days. It honestly doesn't help that i chew them either...

oof, here's a little tip for breaking the habit of chewing them: try to reprimand yourself or ask a friend or family member to do so whenever you catch yourself biting, and if you don't have anything to do with your hands at the moment, either sit on them or buy a stress toy(such as a stress ball like I use) to play with and keep your hands occupied and away from your mouth. Using a stress ball to keep my hands occupied when I had nothing to do with them at the moment is what allowed me to break my nail biting habit

I'm not currently worried about my habit (I know It's bad) Me being me, I have to keep my nails short and the nail clipper always disapears because my mom tries to cut my cat's claws.

oof, why is she using human nail clippers instead of pet nail clippers? Doesn't make sense to me.

They're smaller and easier to hide in her hand. My cat hates getting her nails clipped.
