Finally a day without paperwork, never mind the fact that he had personally asked for no one to bother him. Sighing he stepped out onto the balcony, breathing in a sigh of relief. Peace. The gentle caws of the passing flocks, the sweet scent of the castle flowers all helped make it that way. It was nice. The only thing that would make it better would be if she could be here. With her bubbly personality, the mere warmth she seemed to spread with her smile. Yet she was two kingdoms away and he was here alone. After the death of the former queen (since there is no current one) he had been so alone and today of all days it was much worse. Sure he had his children, and he loves his children but that wasn't the same. He wanted someone to fill the void. Sighing he looked out over his kingdom, slowly shifting into his bird form. Maybe a bit of flying would clear his mind.

Erlin Harinson- King- Songbirds

It was strange to wake to a room in which he wasn't alone, even the servants knew not to wake him. Yet this morning they entered and ushured him awake. It was with good reason yes but still the calling felt rather rude. Yawning he made his way down to the throne room, the cloak of fine silk and velvet feathers dragging behind him. This was first of only a few days that he had been married. Each day he was woken so that he could see to her needs, granting her the finest breakfasts, and only the best activities. Today they would attend a play, The Dance of Fire, or whatever it was called. Tomorrow the evening would be spent over a romantic dinner. All he wanted was to make her happy, since after all this this marriage wasn't out of love. Rubbing his eyes a bit he made his way toward the dinning hall where he took the seat at the side of the table. It was less rude to side like this, and he wanted her to think of him of a friend less than a king. Yet the table sat empty for now, the food having not been prepared yet. Normally breakfast inclued a bit of meat, normally pork, and a large variety of fruits. He himself didn't eat the meat, after all pigs weren't the cleanest of animals but more that even in their faults they too deserved life over death. He hated to see anything killed, unless it was to end suffering, though he didn't outlaw meat just he himself didn't eat it for pleasure. Very few seemed to understand that.

Maggie Eurus- Queen- Magics

The large bird sat utop the tower of the castle, looking down at the city below. In a slow motion it raised its wings and took to the air shaking the building as it did. It circled slowly before landing in the courtyard of the castle. Maggie slowly shifted back, walking back towards the throne room the same strange smile upon her face. To many people she seemed to make them nervous with her smile and rather dark appearance though to those that knew her they had found that really that was the only thing unsettling about her. As she sat upon the throne she took a deep breath before settling back against the soft cushions. It had been years since she had had to fall under rule of a husband, something she had never been fond of. Now she could rule herself, and that was how she liked it. Full control. Though in the coming months there was hardly anything planned, so most of her day was spent simply looking pretty union the throne but then again who wouldn't want to look at her?
