That should make things easier! So I guess section 1 is for unlocking the blacksmith, and section 2 is for using the blacksmith

Yea. The Blacksmith and the Enchanted Portal were always intended to be things you more so begin to use in Section 2. However, due to the length of time that Section 1 has been available so far, it's been possible to at least begin to use the Blacksmith for some players.
