"Sorry Ma'am, but there doesn't seem to be anyone with those names aboard this ship. You can look on the ships database if you want to see if they left a message for you"

Her eyes widened and she raced towards the control panel, and clicked furiously until she found a message from the both of them. It read,
Dear Akai,
Your mother and I had to stay behind. There were only a few spots open, and we let some children take them instead of us. I hate breaking promises, but their lives matter more then ours. You will grow up to be a very talented and bright young women. We love you very, very much, and hope you wont be angry at us. Your mother asked that they give you our rings, so you dont have nothing left of us. Stay strong, and keep living. Its what we gave our lives for, and we'll always be with you. You wont be alone, and dont become distant because of us. Like I said before, keep on living for us, we love you.

Tears poured down Akai's cheeks. They promised her... She balled her fists up, and took a hard drive, ( she always keeps them handy. ) and saved the message onto the drive, and shoved it in her pocket. She used her sleeve to dry her tears and she walked out of the room, and started to go down the long halls, back to her room, thoughts raging inside her head.

Shad woke up with a start. Papy! He shrieked. His eyes were wide with fear. He stumbled out of the pod and looked around.
