"Bye, mom!" Lizard chirruped, excited for his first day at Jade Academy. He had packed his favorite history scrolls and maps as well as some cactus juice in case someone stepped on his tail barb. He spread his dappled, sandy colored wings and flew along the air currents with vigor.

Ember quickly rushed past everyone, and entered the cave. He looked around. All the beds seemed to be made for each tribe, so one was covered in leaves and fruit, obviously for the Rainwing, one was all sandy, for the Sandwing, and so on. Ember went to his, which was a ledge close to the ceiling, covered with pillows and blankets to make it comfortable. And the ceiling was high up. Ember spread his salmon colored wings, and flew up to the ledge, then made sure not a single odd colored, pale orange scale was off the ledge.

"Whimsical..." She repeated, still with a smile. "I've never met a Nightwing my age before, even in the rainforest. Do you live there?"

"Well, sometimes" He began to explain. "My mom lives in the rainforest, but my dad lives in the old Nightwing kingdom, so I travel between the two places a lot" Whimsical explained. "My home in the rainforest is fairly secluded, so I haven't seen any rainwings... or maybe I have and I just didn't know..." The nightwing rambled

"Hmm.. wait." She squinted a bit and tried to mimic the color of Whimsical's scales. Of course, she managed to make them dark enough but a bit too blue. She got the stars right too, but she changed back to her regular colors after a few seconds. "It is kind of difficult to tell what a Rainwing is sometimes, but the way I like to distinguish them is with sloths."
