((It's okay. I'd rather you take awhile to write a good response than to blow through it and not try at all.))

((Also I do tend to get upset if I am left behind when I am offline (I may forget to log out though). If I was online, like now, then it is my fault so sorry about that))

Kai was sitting in the warm hollow, pruning her feathers. She blinked her wide amber eyes as she looked around the hollow. Where are Shadow and Petunia? She didn't spot the other owls anywhere, but it was alright. She knew she should go outside or meet with her chaw, but the hollow was so comfortable.

The male owl let out a hoot as he landed on the tree. His sharp eyes landed on the ground, attempting to track the movement of something. Maybe mice? He didn't spot anything so he looked around for anyone he would be able to converse with.

((Will intro Pure One later))

Sorry, I was busy on other sites and didn't see this. Am I supposed to ping everyone every time?

Emillia woke to see her hollowmates had left. The moon was higher in the sky than she had expected. She was late! She took to the wing immediately and soared towards her job in Printing and Researching. She hoped Marvin and Ellie wouldn't be mad.
Apparently the new arrivals had been sorted into their chaws. She wondered if anyone new would be joining her. It was probably a false hope as there were few who aspired to be in the private and seemingly dull chaw she was in. She kind of hoped there wouldn't be anyone new. New owls always stressed her out, as they always had so many questions.
There was one way to find out. She made a banking turn into the hollow and made a landing by Marvin and Ellie's perch.

Although Mik was trying not to show it, he was nervous. The instructions he had recieved mostly went in one ear slit and out the other, and he was not quite sure was he was doing. Breaklight was over, and the crowds were dispersing. He vaguely remembered something about battle claws- wait, was that for new arrivals or new Guardians? He also remembered something about meeting some short owl somewhere. She had a stupid name, he remembered. Like Peace, or Love or something. Sappiness like that made him want to yarp. No matter, he needed to get that star stuff down if he ever wanted to get back to the Northern Kingdoms. What he would give for some nice white to inturrupt all the disgusting "green" nonsense.
Nobody around him looked like someone worth talking to, so he decided to try to find his chaw himself. He would discover it eventually, and it didn't matter when he got there- the stars would be there again the next night.

Maria was shifting her weight from talon to talon as she sat on the branch, waiting. She ruffled her feathers indignantly. When she saw Glacier land on a nearby branch, she called, "There's my punctual pupil! At least somebody is on time. What is taking everybody so long?" She demanded, turning her head to a barn owl sitting beside her.

Don tilted his head at Maria. "Hey, don't ignore little Lark." He hopped over to the small boreal owl and churred with amusement. "It'll be alright. This storm we're about to fly into should produce a good fire for us to fly into. Everybody wins. But.... could you go round up everybody? They're supposed to be here and they're not. Even I don't like owls to be tardy. Remember that one time?"

Peter looked up at Rust as she flew in. He seemed in a very good mood as he made sure his fire was good and hot. "I love how eager you young'ns are these days. Beatrix promised the new members of her Chaw battle claws. Luckily, I've made extras with you guys. I do believe there are two short eared owls, a great gray, and another one..... but we'll just have to wait for everybody to arrive."

Beatrix watched the father and son endearingly. "Well, I'm afraid that it won't be that dramatic, Quill. We have no target mission tonight. A storm is blowing in, and I believe it might actually get to the tree this time. We don't want to wander too far. But after all of you new members get your battle claws, we're going to get used to flying with them. They will mess with your balance quite a bit."

Dirk looked up as Petunia came in for a landing. "Petunia! My flower of a student! I made a good choice tapping you. So devoted!" He exclaimed. He looked like he was struggling to stand still and stay focused. "It is quite gusty today. The weather interpretation Chaw should decipher what it's going to do today." He looked around for the rest of the Chaw. "Hmm.... the wind is delaying our companions from joining us on time. Most unusual."

Ellie was the only one in the hollow where the research and printing Chaw usually met. She seemed to be trying to gather a bunch of scrolls on her own. There were tiny ones that she and Marvin wrote on due to their tiny size. She jumped when Emilia entered and the scrolls went everywhere. "Oh, Emilia. I didn't know you were here. We are meeting in the library for an editor day. Otulissa will be there," the elf owl informed. "I was just gathering these scrolls so I could carry them on my back. You know, because I can't fly."

Serenity cursed herself as she flew frantically for her meeting spot. She liked her small size, but being small and old has its disadvantages. She was slower for example. She spotted a snowy owl circling above her and recognized it as Mik. She climbed up to meet the newly tapped member of the navigation Chaw. "Hello there Mik. Are ye lost?" She asked.

Malak gazed upon Nyree with respect and reverence. "My dear, punctual as ever. Never the last one, always the first," he said. He looked her over. "Your battle claws will suit you well." He looked around, waiting for the others who were supposed to arrive for their battle claws and helmets. "Nyree, did you see the others that were top of the class with you? Were they on their way?"

"Me sir?" The small owl asked picking her head out of her feathers for a moment. She honestly didn't think he would call on her to do anything, in fact the female owl had hardly even noticed her. "You really want me to go find them?" Lark asked flapping her wings once.

"We know how to fly with claws." Dead said giving her a glare. "We are full Guardians if you remember. Quill, see to it the new comers put their claws on right."
"Yes sir." The young owl said reluctantly.

"Sorry I'm late." She panted. "The wing has my flight all messed up." With that she tucked her wings and hopped forward. "So what are we tracking today? A missing owl? A predator too close to the boarders?" She asked looking out at the raging sea. "Hopefully the wind won't be up too much when we leave, it was hard enough to fly here."

Horus stifled a cough as black smoke rose from his forge. He had a love-hate relationship with blacksmithery. He loved the feel of hot steel under his talons, but did not fully appreciate the experience of shoveling more coals into the belly of the forge.
