Lifting her head, she saw her mentor. "Oh hey! Me and Redpaw were just, um, getting in some extra training." Solarpaw said in a bored tone.

Whitefeather snorted, "You can get in some 'Extra Training' after you come with me for a...patrol like training session"

Tigerclaw went over to her sister "Redpaw was wondering if we could organize a hunting patrol"
apprentices were so eager until they went into battle.

"Yay! Patrols!" Solarpaw said sarcastically. Behind her, Redpaw let out a huff. "lucky."

"Redpaw, maybe your mentor will go on a patrol with you, for now though, Solarpaw and I need to get going," Whitefeather turned, flicking his tail to signal Solarpaw to follow.

Solarpaw rolled her eyes, then followed quietly, quickly kicking dirt in the air with her hind paws, which made Redpaw sneeze. "Ow my eye!" Redpaw rubbed his eye, looking enviously at Solarpaw as she followed her mentor.

"You honestly should be nicer to your brother, you both will battle enemies together as allies. Anyways, the first thing to learn is the territory Fallenclan owns," Whitefeather said with as much enthusiasm as a stone as he led Solarpaw out of camp.

"Whatever." Solarpaw rolled her eyes, but thought: Redpaw will be safe. I'm sure of it. He'll be fine as long as I'm here. Solarpaw's nose twitched. "What's... that...?" She wasn't sure what the smell was, but it made her stomach growl a bit. She hadn't eaten anything since last night.

Whitefeather paused, sniffing the air before speaking, "Prey, what animal can you smell?" Letting Solarpaw detect what animal scent was around would give him a taste for how good her sense of smell was.

"It smells like the mice in the prey pile... geez, you'd think they'd be smart enough to not be so close to camp." Her nose twitched. "It smells a tad bit different. Makes sense, the one in the prey pile is dead, this one is alive." She narrowed her eyes. "North maybe?"
