Zana bared her teeth in concentration, she kept well away from the arena walls, she twirled her dagger in swift circles. She zig zagged about Zux jabbing out at random points. The oily liquid that dripped from her X eye dried up from the exposure to the dry arena air. Zana had never lost before, often she would come out alive with a javelin through her sternum.

Zux stopped moving around and stood still, he was only a few feet away from Zana "I wonder what the heir is doing in a place such as this" He whispered so that only she could hear, he then pointed downwards.

He had carved a demon trap into the ground, it wasn't strong enough to keep Zana trapped for long, although it would stall her"You can't beat me at my own game, but I doubt I could end you either. We could continue this for hours, or we could call a truce. It's your choice"

A 'Truce' as he called it, was when a battle ends due to the fighters being of near equal strength, instead they are matched up with someone else

Zana was still silent for a very long moment, "How do you know?" She whispered quietly glancing around as if combing the arena for any signs of the royal guard. She broke loose from the trap the scar on her midriff shifted slightly, she whirled her blade, "Ho, your own game, I'm backing down only when I decide it's over."

Zux laughed "You can get a lot of information by threatening lives" He replied, still quiet "Honestly I could be of more use to you as an ally, if you gave me the chance" He continued, jumping backwards so he was standing against the wall "....You know, it's not as fun when I can't torture you with mind tricks, not that they'd work on you"

Zana smirked, "You get used to it living with hell's most hardcore mother." She said standing her ground, "Threatening lives sounds more efficient than empty threats." She finished lodging her blade into the wall.

Zux slowly walked forward, counting each step "Now which trick shall I use next... no,no,no... None of those would work" he mumbled to himself, he then stopped and looked over to Zana and turned his body to face her. He made a gesture, as if he wanted her to attack him. Oddly enough he put nothing on the field beforehand and and he was unprotected. In fact the only thing he seemed to have as a weapon was his sharp claws

Zana breathed in through her nose, the muscles in her fore arm tensed and long claws shot out from her nail beds. "A fair fight."

"I would love nothing more than to fight you, no tricks, just two demons, fighting" He replied, swishing his tail back and forth as he got ready to bolt forward "But my statement stays the same, this match will end in a draw" although he seemed calm on the outside, his blood rushed with adrenaline, his mind filled with excitement

"We'll see about that," Zana smirked her X eye flashed crimson. She flexed her fingers.

The air around the arena changed

The ground underneath his feet cracked as he bolted forward at such a speed that his presence disappeared. In only a few seconds he was right next to Zana, his fist a few centimeters away from her face. And in the place he was standing was nothing but a crater and many dead bodies, half the arena was now destroyed

Of course he had taken a toll, he was breathing heavily, and his heart was beating so loudly that the whole arena could hear "Dang, I missed" he grumbled, stumbling back and turning around to see the mess he made
