Here is a couple videos put together that I took today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox50KOLKhMg

All 3 videos were taken in succession. So the difference in sunlight was literally in the span of about 6 minutes from light, to dark, and back to light again.

00:00 - Unfiltered view about 2 minutes before totality.
00:14 - Filtered view about 2 minutes before totality until totality begins.
02:49 - Unfiltered view immediately after totality begins until totality ends.

It was a really awesome thing to see in person and no video or picture does the experience justice. I totally recommend to anyone interested in seeing one in the future to plan ahead for 2024! (or whenever the next one is for your part of the world)

This is probably the best picture I got of it. It's not all that great, but I like it because it shows just how dark it actually got (you can see the faint glow of the horizon towards the bottom of the picture). I didn't have an actual camera or anything, so it was just taken from my phone:

And, lastly, the same picture literally like 3 minutes apart:

I'm up in Alberta, Canada, so we only got about 70%. It didn't really seem noticeably darker, just slightly less intense sunlight. We made a pinhole camera and used that to see the eclipse! But my favourite part by far was how it made the shadows looks. My partner and I went for a walk and every time we passed trees the shadows had all these crescent shapes! I'm kicking myself because I didn't take a picture haha.

I was in totality. Sadly, clouds covered it a bit, I still could see it but no weird shadows.

It was so crazy how it went dark in minutes. We don't live in the path of totality, but we were in a state that had it at the time. (the travel was so worth it)

I didn't take images, and like Krin said, no image could do it justice anyways.
