This woman is not of France, Joan inquired. The woman also had a horrible English accent(to Joan's French ears).

"I can speak English, what is this 'New York' that you speak of? What do you mean by asteroids? This is merely armor to protect oneself in the War, have you never seen a suit of armor strange Englishwoman?" Joan replied with her French accent present.

Sarah was relieved that she could speak English. "Umm, New York is this city that we're in right now. It's in the U.S, well, the former US anyway. Asteroids are huge rocks. You know, they fall out of the sky? They're from outer space? No? Also, no, we're not in a war currently and I can't say I've ever seen someone in a suit of armor from present day." She turned around and whispered in Huron's ear. "Is she living under a rock? A protective rock to protect her from asteroids? Because I want that rock!"

"What is the 'U.S.'? I have never heard of such a country. Who is the current King?" Joan asked.

"We don't really do monarchy anymore in this country. We had a President. He's probably hiding in some secure bunker, so for now, the U.S. doesn't really have a defined leader."
I hope that answers her question. Has she really been living under a rock all this time?

Joan was still troubled and confused by what the woman had just said.
"So then this entire country is currently in anarchy due to these things called asteroids?" she confirmed.

Sarah sighed internally. "Yes. Yes it is."

"What have the people of this country been doing? And, if this is not in the British Isles, why do you speak English, even with such a strange accent?" Joan continued to question this strange woman.
