Courtney didn't like the cave, it was too cramped. She hated crowds, and this one was one of the biggest she'd ever seen.
"Big... Scary crowds... They... Aren't that... Bad...." she whimpered, shaking in fear.

Vanessa looked up at the leader type characters. "Get used to seeing dead bodies? As if!" She scoffed, imagining the sight of her parents broken lifeless bodies.

Minks turned her gaze to the feline " Aye! Thank you!" she said her voice still happy and light as she looked back at him before pouncing off the scorched rock and towards the pointed out " Leader" he didn't look much like the other band leaders she had come across it was highly possible he was the strategist type... perfect. Minks thought staying about a meter or two out of swinging range. it was a defensive skill that had become a habit. she flattened her ears and lowered her head but kept her soft smile. " Sir, I would like to ask what our next moves will be.." she asked politely before making eye contact. it was clear to her now that the group that surrounded her contained different levels of skills and survival tactics, Right now she certainty looked submissive, but looks can be deceiving.

Captain looked her in the eye "As I said, it would be best to introduce ourselves before going to Scavenge and look for survivors... Of course that's completely your choice..." Captain walks up to Minks until he was almost touching her nose with his, he seemed calm aswell as serious "So what will it be kit, will you join me and my comrades, or will you go out and face whatever could lurk beyond this cave alone?"

What an earthquake! Goodness! If he hadn't have been stuck in this wondering cave system he might had been killed! Maybe bad luck was good in the long run. The nixi swayed his tail about as he put his nose to the ground. Ash, that's what he could smell, ash and what could only be fresh air. With a bounding step he started forward into the land outside. Why it was snowing! How lovely, though when he went to take a flake in his mouth he spit it out quickly. Not snow! Not snow! Yuck! It was nasty! But what was it? Was that the source of the ashy smell? And where was everyone? Looking about he didn't see anyone. "A bit of a game of seek lads?" He said with a smirk. "We'll see if he can hide from ol' Smity!" With that he bounded out into the waste land.

Mugin looked at the white sylesti going around the cave. She then looked out the entrance, seeing all the dead bodies and smoke. Mugin turned her head back to the sylesti and shook her head slightly. maybe she could get them the serve her, after all, she was a puffadore.

Minks quickly assessed that he out ranked her, but her submissive stance would only allow for her to be left behind. Knowing this she took up a more upright stance her ears pointed forward and her gaze not breaking or wavering in the slightest insted she was smiling and waving her tail in an excited manner as she steped a bit closer. " Aye Sir! Minks, but you can call me what you like.." she said confidently so that all around could hear her. She had had it rough, and fear was something that had to be earned in her eyes, and though this captain was strong, he was nothing to shake about.... he was just as alive as her, he still feels complex emotions... and has shadows that follow him... no different than anyone else in the damp cave, so why fear.. The young vixen smirked her blue eyes gleaming like a mischievous child's.

"Good, welcome to the team" Captain walked back and looked around the cave "Now, if any of you join up with me, then you will have to learn to stop whining, you're going see dead bodies, so what? they aren't going to get up and kill you, they're dead, and Flower Girl, stop complaining about crowds there are what? eight people here? I don't think anyone here wants to hurt you, and even if you do get hurt we have Doc to fix you up" He states, he then looks over to Needle "I want you the go and search around the area, is that alright with you Needle?"
"Yes sir!" Needle flies out of the cave, he soon spotted Smit so he swooped down

Vanessa silently growled thinking 'Leaders should be able to feel some sympathy.' Vanessa stood up, feeling the ground beneath her paws, she stared forwards at the leader and asked quietly "Where will we go?"
