Gradient just hummed a little, undisturbed by Mio's sudden anger. "Well, I didn't know that your dad tried to commit genocide, or that you were a Molecular Instigated Organism." Gradient told Mio, calmly retracting his Pokemon. "My parents have just tossed your name around, that's all." Gradient frowned. "I think my dad worked on a Molecular Instigated Organism a little. I don't know who though." Gradient clipped his two PokeBalls onto his belt casually, meeting Mio's stare head on.

"Well, who cares! I can prove I'm just as good as you humans! I challenge you to a battle!" Mio said, sending out her first pokemon. Her other? A riolu. Lysandre had always encouraged her to create a mega-evolution, to get stronger. To protect the ones she loved.
She did not throw the pokeball, such an odd way to release a pokemon. Professor Blackthorn thought. Maybe it's a new trend. Gradient did it too...
Kindelet was released from his pokeball, raring to go.
"Kindel! Kindelet!!!" it growled.
I will be strong. Like N. Mio thought inwardly.

Gradient raised an eyebrow, before shrugging. "Eevee!" He said, sending his Pokemon out. It chirped. "FeS." Gradient commanded. Fake Tears. Of course, Mio wouldn't be able to figure it out. Heck, Gradient's parents couldn't figure it out.

Eevee started sobbing, sharply lowering Kindelet's Defense stat. "SaH." Gradient commanded. Slash. Eevee jumped to slash Kindelet, hitting it directly.

Sophie watched I wonder who will win? she thought.

"Use Leer!" Mio said. Kindelet stared at Eevee, lowering its defense.

Gradient stared cooly ahead, not even bothering to look at the battle. "Eevee, SeH. SiH. SaH. WaH." Graident commanded. Slash, Slash, Slash, Wish.

His Eevee was specially bred with perfect IVs and certain moves, part of having great connections. Not to mention Gradient's code.

Gradient's code allowed versatility and flexibility, and was hard to crack, easy to follow, easy to make. It had taken Gradient a long time to come up with it, but it was worth it.

Rune stepped off the boat and waved goodbye to the captain as she wandered away. A new region, a new Pokdex to fill out, she thought, rubbing the head of her Leafeon, Grassclaw.

"Okay then, Kindelet return. Go Luca!" Mio commanded, sending out a riolu.
"Luca utilise Drain Punch puis Double Kick alors que Eevee se retablit!" Mio said.
Luca rushed at Eevee using Drain Punch, then Double Kick when the Evolution Pokemon tried to recover.

Gradient smiled slightly, as his Eevee's Wish took place, replenishing half of his health. Still though, Eevee could not go against Riolu... Gradient retracted Eevee silently, then sent out his new starter. Hm... Leaflette didn't know the code. That would be a problem, but Gradient could adjust.

"Leaflette, Vine Whip. Try to pick Riolu up, then slam him into the ground. Then, Defense Curl, Defense Curl, Defense Curl." Gradient instructed. Leaflette Vine Whipped, picking up Riolu along the way. However, the vines were not strong enough, and dropped Riolu at a foot in the air. Leaflette Defense Curled three times, raising his defense thrice.
