It's not the coder's fault Microsoft refuses to keep their browser up to date. HTML5 and CSS3 offer so much more to coders and IE does a terrible job at implementing that stuff. The only way half of things work is by using an IE specific rule to make it work just for IE, whereas every other browser uses CSS3. It's beyond a pain when styling things.
And some things just flat out don't work. At least I couldn't ever get it to. I think text-shadow and rounded buttons are the two that don't work with IE.

I understand, I'm just the kind of person that have hard time
changing even the smallest habit, arg, I'll try to get used to
Chrome, but I personally hate it and will only use it when
needed, I think of prefer the style I got used to first, AKA
the IE's one... o.e
On Chrome it look weird... o.e"
(After getting used to IE's "version" of Sylestia)
Oh well, all this, plus the "missing" pets, but not really make
me need a small break of Sylestia for now, probably returning
a bit tomorrow, but not much... need to compute both that I
need Chrome "more" now and the pet issue, posted on the
Stable forum... If you find what wrong, tell me, I-I just don't
want to "lose" more pets, I'm really sensible to losing things
that I find precious to me, I'm now just scared to move
anything in my Stable for today~ o.e"

@Sheechwan,
There shouldn't be anything to worry about. It won't be impossible to ever actually lose a pet. I can always just place it back in your Stable if it's no longer there.
And repeating the error helps me figure out what's causing it. So now I (and others) know it's possible for pets to get removed from a Stable and will pay attention and try to catch it happening and figure out exactly what's causing it so it can be fixed and yay run on sentence! Lol.
Btw, what version of IE were you using?

I have replaced the proficiency backgrounds with significantly smaller byte sized JPEG images. I don't think the quality loss is noticeable.
I will also be replacing most of the backgrounds with the same.
As far as the map, I was going to be changing that soon anyway for different reasons. When I do this, I will switch it to smaller JPEGs as well.
All in all. Everyone should see faster load times. Hopefully this will fix the image issues in IE. And we'll use less bandwidth. Everyone wins!

Comments: To be fair with everyone, a website should be compatible with at least all latest versions of most known web browser... What I mean is that right now, this website might be compatible with Explorer 10 (Which is only available on Windows 8) But since Explorer 9 is still quite popular, I suggest you make a PHP that says if user don't have CSS3, go in CSS2 (Which is supported by Explorer 9). I know it is complex...I built a website myself...But it does wirth it because it is more open to people... Although, you are not forced to do it.
Well This closes this case. Glitchy pictures on Internet Explorer 9. If it cannot be fixed, then it's now a known glitch.
PS: Shee and I DO use Internet Explorer 9

In Krin's defense, I'd really recommend you both get a new internet browser. Internet Explorer is widely known not just for being outdated, but it is also relatively unsafe. Compared to newer browsers which have built-in virus protection, IE very easily lets things like that slip through. Even the big petsite Aywas specifically says to use Firefox or Chrome.
While it is good to have a site as widely available as possible, it's very much more important that its functionality not be hindered by old out-of-date programs on a new up and coming site like this that uses complex code and ideas.
If this was an information site, or for a big giant company like Yahoo, yes it should be compatible on all kinds of browsers. But this is a GAMING website. You can still casually game on a website like this and perhaps have a few glitches, but the gaming world also tends to contain a lot of know how, and are constantly pushing what computers, and even browsers can do. A game that can't keep up with technology is doomed to fail. A user that can't keep up with technology will just be a year or two behind the rest of us.

I have to remember you that as long as the web browser is supported, there will be users that won't change. Internet Explorer is indeed outdated...But still used in MANY companies because it's even more secure than GoogleChrome (By the way, if you ever register password on you computer using chrome, be aware that googlechrome register it somewhere on your computer, uncrypted. THAT is unsafe. I understand that Krin may not make it compatible for IE9... But he may leave an alternate way for old web browser users to use this website.
BTW: @Krin: Your website is well coded...I have nothing to say... I just suggest that you investigate since some people still use IE9

I have tried to make our browser 100% playable in Chrome, Firefox, and IE. And I think I accomplished that.
I myself have gone through everything our site has with all 3 browsers with no issues. There were many issues with IE before we launched, but I fixed the vast majority of them. Some styling issues remain as I said, but everything 'works'.
As far as who uses what browsers, here are our stats:
When thinking about adding new features, I have to make it work best with the majority of what our users use. So with over 87.3% using FF or Chrome, I'm going to have to code based on those 2 browsers. If I coded based on IE, there'd be a lot less 'oomph' on FF and Chrome.
So, while we don't want to tell anyone to use a specific browser or alienate those who prefer some over others, our game will run better on some browsers more than others. We use a lot of tricks to make our Site feel more like a game rather than just text and images (which it essentially is). And unfortunately, some browsers just don't keep up with that.
But, regardless, you brought the issue up to me and I fixed the Proficiency backgrounds and will fix the Map ones in a week or so. So problem solved for now!

In my head, Chrome is more "unsafe" than other browser, but
I guess I can use it when IE will fails~ >x<"
But as long as it seems to work okay, I'll stay on this, on Chrome,
when I open another tab for a pet's profile, then do the same for
a second, they both have been "selected", so they switches place
which is a great bother for me, since I can have to open more than
just a few(like 5 of less)~ o.e"
But I never though so much people passed to FF and Chrome... o.e"
Arg, well I'm just like those old person(some not all, no offences
please~ >x<"), have hard time changing long time set habits~ ^w^"

@Sheechwan,
That's perfectly understandable. And I will always make sure our Site works with the 3 main browsers. But it just may not be as 'flashy' in IE as it is in FF or Chrome due to IE's restrictions. But I will always make sure it is playable.
