Ok so, I would like to recommend a web comic called Homestuck. (you can find it just in the search engine)

Before you read it however 2 warnings:
a. it has quite a bit of swearing (so if your sensitive to that then dont)
b. its reallllly long

Also, before you read, a suggestion/tip
-Andrew Hussie didn't know what he was doing at first, that's why the pace in the beginning is slow, but IF you DO read it, please please please DON'T SKIP ANYTHING :D

What kind of console(s) do you have to play games on? I know some games for Xbox that are pretty good...

Hm... Mainly PC, but I do have some iOS devices, a Wii U, and considering getting a 3ds.

ah, ok. I'm not really sure about games for Wii, we used to have one but that was a long long time ago. Sorry :( I was going to recommend Limbo or Ori and the Blind Forest for puzzle games (they both have a storyline) or Destiny, even though it's a first-person-shooter game (I'm not usually very into those), it drew me in because it has a pretty neat storyline (and also the outfits and stuff are cool >u<) You could try out FeralHeart I guess (for PC). That is, if you can get on at a time that registration is open.

or pokemon go if you have a phone or even color switch also for phone

or pokemon sun moon if you have a 3ds or 2ds (not to be confused with the regular ds)

PC:
Stardew Valley; calm game where you can mine, grow, and produce products to sell from your farm with a hint of action(monsters spawn in the mines) and you can befriend the npcs and even get married
Starbound; ever heard of Terraria? in this game you explore the galaxy and mine, attack, collect, and explore civilizations upon thousands of explorable planets(you can also build and create your own civilization)
Ori and the Blind Forest; plat former action game with a sad but interesting story. You play as lost child of the forest, Ori. Your goal is to save the dying forest
OFF;(free game) an rpg where you control a character called "The Batter", your mission is to purify the world. This game breaks the forth wall and a few characters prefer to call you "The Puppeteer". Explore through different zones and extinguish the evil from each place on your quest to purify everything

If you get a 3DS:
Rune Factory(a fantasy harvest moon) 3 and 4; it's kindove like the original Stardew valley(I prefer Rune Factory, I think there is more story and better action) but in Rune Factory 3, your character is half human and half monster in a world where humans and monsters alike hate each other
The main premise of Rune Factory games is that you've lost all memory of your life up until the start of the game, you've got no history besides what from then on you create
Mario and Luigi, Bowser's Inside Story; The whole Mario rpg series is pretty fun but this one is a personal favorite. You get to play as Mario and Bowser through different parts of the story and I think game play and story is well done, though some fights were kindove difficult.
There is a plague spreading across the mushroom kingdom called the "blorgs"(?) that causes the Toads to start bloating up and roll away so Peach calls for Mario to come and help her try to figure out a solution
And let's just say it's not being poetic when they titled it "Bowser's inside story"

Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky, Time, or Darkness. Emotional and well thought out Storyline, Majestic Soundtrack, Pixelated Pokemon. It's a bit of an RPG, Where you TURN INTO A POKEMON. I play this on my Wii U (10 bucks on Virtual Console) and I love it! it's also a sd card for (any type of) Nintendo DS, but you might have to go online or a game trading place for it. but it's worth it! You form your own team via personality quiz (you) and choice (your partner).

Video? Sure.
