That's odd...I've experienced 1 year of sylestia, and have gone through all the festivals. I didn't think it was too difficult getting avatar items. Was it very different before 2015?
Though grinding bosses during halloween and christmas was a bit of a pain, lol. And obtaining items through week of love and fortune festivals was...expensive.

Oh yes, I joined late 2013, so almost three years now. It used to be easy to get almost every fest item... but the last few events/fest, it has be almost impossible to get even half the items :(

I really enjoyed the old fests as well. They where fun and not as expensive. you could get the items if you where a very dedicated player.
Festivals are still a lot of fun, but I do not like how the best items and best pets are now mostly only available to people with money, while before the festivals where great for dedicated players who would spend hours playing the festival instead. Because yes, back then you could gather all the items if you spend a lot of time on it. Or at least most items.
I loved the old festivals. :) I hope the upcomming fetsival will be a bit like the older ones again where you can earn all the items by old fashiond dedicated playing instead of buying random chests and playing loteries and such.
Because I rather missed them and really feel like going on item/themed pet hunt trough game play again instead of a purchase for chance spree.
Maybe have purchaseble stuff not be as luck based would also be nice. So people know they at least get something worth paying for opposed to only chance.
Anyway, your not alone. The old fests where fun and seemed a bit more fair?/ Or at least more worth your time to invest in as you knew if you invested, you would get neat stuff. New festivals do not really feel like investing TIME equals neat stuff anymore.
But maybe this upcomming festival will change that. What I read about it so far seems very fun so I have high hopes for it. :)

I just went through my wardrobe last night, changed up, and was even surprised with what avatar items I collected. There was some I didn't even know I had. I love the selections, and I also love the fact I can search for what I want in the market, when i'm not too terribly broke, heh. Love this site, so much to do...hard to be bored on it for sure.
Just wish I was artistic/literate enough to design a few items, lol.
