Flame: A red Ny'vene that was part of the Ny'vene Kingdom. His leader Quince has gone missing and he is looking for him. Found by Aval, he is put into slavery for a long time.



Knight: A moonlight Ny'vene that is also from the Ny'vene kingdom to get Quince back. He is captured along with Flame, Rina and Jaden. He is put into slavery for the same amount of time as Flame and the others.



Rina: A female Ny'vene who is Quince's mate. She comes to the Wind Chasing Forest in search of her mate only to be caught by Aval and his group of Ryories.



Jaden: A tough male Ny'vene that is the deputy of the Ny'vene kingdom. Being next in line for the throne, he notices that Quince is missing and tries to take down Aval upon meeting him. He is put into slavery along with Flame, Knight and Rina.

Chapter 7: A Bright Path

Quince was waking up, he noticed that Angel was carrying him. He grunted.

"Angel? What...Happened?" He was still weakened from one of the Ryori's dark attack.

"They shocked you again, but do not get off my back, you are hurt." Angel replied gently as she and the others carried on. Sebastian was sniffing the ground for some reason, he bellowed to Angel.

"Angel! I smell something strange!" He called to his friend.

Angel stopped and bend down, being careful not to cause Quince to slide off her back. She sniffed the ground, as a thought came to her mind.

(Maiden is dead. Why is her scent fresh? Is she alive now? No... This can't be...)Angel tensed up and then she let out a long sigh, then she turned to Sebastian who was looking at her.

"Quince's foster children. They have the same scent as her. They must be close." Angel quickly dashed ahead. Everyone quickly noticed this and followed her. The Morkko was stumbling behind be she was able to keep up with Angel's rebel group.

"We are getting close?" Sebastian was able to keep up with Angel, she was starting to slow down and come to nice walk. Quince was still keeping his head up while he was riding on Angel's back.

"Quince, where did you live originally?" Angel wondered.

"I live in a kingdom, it is on the bright path." Quince answered, feeling somewhat better.

"This is the bright path." The old Luffox interrupted them.

Angel looked down and saw the path lighting up underneath her paws, she looked ahead and saw a castle with a few Ny'venes flying around it, they seemed upset.

Quince saw the castle, his kingdom. He quickly flew off of Angel who shouted at him and followed him.

"Quince, what's going on?" Angel finally caught up to him. Sebastian was by his side.

"This is my kingdom. But everyone is in a panic!" Quince realized all of the Ny'venes were flying around in freight, they call roared and circled the castle.

"STOP!" A Luffox from the group shouted.

They all were not listening, they roared loud over everyone's voices. Quince let out a lout roar as the Ny'venes stopped.

"What is going on here?" Quince growled.

"Quince! You have returned, but we have some terrible news." A gold Ny'vene flew down and looked at him.

"What is it?" Quince asked in a confused way. He looked at all of his kind.

"You have returned, but the other four did not." The gold Ny'vene answered.

"Where is Flame, Rina, Knight and Jaden?" Quince asked as he growled at the gold Ny'vene.

"They went out to look for you. They have been gone far too long." The gold Ny'vene quickly answered.

"What!? Why? I was coming back that night after looking after Maiden! I was going to bring my foster children here!" Quince roared.

"They thought you were in trouble." A silver Ny'vene stepped in.

"I was, but Angel and her group helped me. I didn't need a search party." Quince was angry.

"Sorry!" A bronze Ny'vene flew in, he was scared.

"Angel, do you think Aval did this?" Sebastian asked.

"He could have!" Angel looked back at him, determination was in her eyes.

"Guys, we are going back to the Wind Chasing Forest." Quince was frustrated, not only did his foster children suffer, but his team as well.

"But what about your kids?" Angel wondered.

"Fine, Some of us will go back. Angel, find Xavier and Windflight for me." Quince looked into her determined eyes.

"I will find those wind chasers!" Angel nodded and Sebastian got on top of her back.

"We will get them back for you!" Sebastian smiled.

"Thank you both." Quince then turned to the gold and silver Ny'vene.

"Come, we have team mates to save!" Quince flew back to the Wind Chasing Forest.

Angel watched him leave.

"There he goes." Angel smiled at him. Sebastian looked up as well. Then she beckoned everyone to follow her. Quince was alone on his journey with a few others once again.

Xavier and Windflight saw a huge castle from afar, they even saw a few Ny'venes of different colors.

"I wonder if Quince knows about this. Maybe we could get directions." Windflight was looking at the flying Ny'venes.

"Well come on. We don't have all day know." Xavier laughed.

Now adults, the two Luffoxes walked down the bright path. Heading for the Ny'vene Kingdom. It was a rich kingdom full of young and grown Ny'venes. Some of them were old but still had backbone to work and guard the castle from intruders.

"Hey, do you guys see those two Luffoxes?" A gray Ny'vene asked. The others growled and flew up in the air to get a good look.

"They are headed towards us." A blue Ny'vene flew back down and looked at the gray one.

"Ok. Let's get them!" A red Ny'vene roared. All of the Ny'venes flew away from the castle and headed towards Windflight and Xavier.

"Do you think Quince will be proud of us?" Windflight asked as a group of Ny'venes from the kingdom flew down on them in a circle.

"Or do you think we are in trouble?" Xavier looked around to see they were circled by a bunch of angry dragons.

"Hey there." Windflight giggled shyly.

"So, you are all intruders?" The blue Ny'vene growled.

"No! We have been care for by another one of your kind. His name is Quince." Xavier replied.

"*Gasp!* You know our leader!?" The bronze Ny'vene was surprised.

"You guys must be his foster kids." The red Ny'vene held out his wing, signaling the others to back down.

"Yeah? Where is Quince?" Windflight was worried now. She wanted to see her father.

"He's gone to the Wind Chasing Forest." The bronze Ny'vene replied.

"Wind Chasing Forest?" Xavier was confused.

"You haven't been there?" The blue Ny'vene was puzzled at their confused looks.

"No. We are wind chasers, but we have not been to the Forest you speak of." Xavier answered.

"Keep going on the bright path. Quince flew back over there." The bronze Ny'vene nodded.

"Let's go Xavier." Windflight was ready to keep moving.

"Thanks!" Xavier smiled at them all as they let the two Luffoxes through.

"Anytime!" The bronze Ny'vene waved.

They both continued on the bright path in search of the Wind Chasing Forest.

Aval is in the castle, looking down from the balcony.

"Those four Ny'venes do know how to work." The purple Ryori grinned.

"Yes. I guess we do not need the other sylesties, but if they do return. Send out the guards." Aval replied as he walked to the throne room.

"I will." The purple Ryori grinned.

Angel was walking through the Ny'vene kingdom, her allies close behind her. She sniffed the ground searching for Quince's lost foster children.

"Do you think they are in the kingdom?" Sebastian asked, looking at the huge castle.

"We can try." Angel replied with a nod.

They all were about to enter the castle but the blue Ny'vene flew down and stopped them.

"Yes?" Angel leaped back.

"You guys are looking for the wind chasers?" He asked.

"Yes we are," Angel replied.

"Those two are going home." The blue Ny'vene replied.

"They are going to the Wind Chasing Forest?" Angel gasped.

"We must hurry and get there too!" Sebastian hopped off of Angel's back and flew off. Angel followed and so did her allies.

They were going to see Windflight and Xavier in action.

In a dungeon, four Ny'venes sat in a corner.

"Why must they beat us with whips?" Flame sighed.

"We need to find a way out." Rina tried to take off her chains but it only shocked her with darkness.

"No! Do not try! It's too risky to break off those chains!" Jaden growled.

"Then what do we do?" Flame growled at Jaden.

"We will wait." A low voice grumbled.

"Knight are you nuts!?" Flame was about to use his flame thrower on him, but Rina give him an angry stare.

"Hurt Knight and Quince will kill you!" Rina roared.

"Fine. Lucky you are Quince's mate, otherwise Knight would have been dead meat!" Flame growled.

"Good boy." Rina giggled.

"SHUT IT!" Flame roared.

"ENOUGH!" Jaden roared at them both.

"He's right." Knight grumbled.

Aval appeared before them and laughed.

"You four are so stupid! Quince is never coming for you." Aval grinned.

"Says you." Rina rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, says you!" Flame growled at Aval while trying to break free.

"Try all you want, you will never escape. I made my dungeon even harder." Aval laughed.

"Nice going." Rina looked at the ground and mumbled.

"There is nothing we can do." Jaden's hope was slipping.

"No but at least we have each other." Flame smirked at Rina.

"Oh stop! I will tell Quince that it was you that stole some of his gold..." She grinned.

"Fine." Flame rolled his eyes.

Rina smirked at Flame while he wasn't looking.

(Yeah you better shut up...)Rina finally went to sleep for the night.

Chapter 8: Ryories That Shall Die

Chance and the other Ryories were in a room, it was dark and cold. They looked around and noticed someone coming. The blue Ryori jumped back and went into the corner.

"Rice! Why are you backing off! Trace is not. He is ready to fight." Chance growled.

"No, it's not the little purple Ryori this time..." Rice felt the difference in the new Ryori's presence.

"You all seem happy to be locked up. Guess what? It's time for you all to receive your punishment. Aval had it all planned for you." The shadowed Ryori grinned.

"No! Chase! You cannot betray us like this! Aval is supposed to kill the slaves that escaped!" Chance was trying to call him into his senses.

"Well, I have my orders you yellow brute!" Chase unlocked the cage and let them out. They were still in chains as Chase dragged them to another room. This room was red and full of secret dangers around them.

"What is this place Chance?" Trace asked, feeling scared now.

"It's not good I think." Chance coughed.

"If you three cannot do as the king asked, then your punishment is.... DEATH!" Chase roared out.

"Death? For letting the slaves get away! It was Rice's fault!" Chance tried to blame his own partner.

"No! Trace is to blame!" Rice pointed his shadow paws at the green Ryori.

"No! Chance was the one to do-" Trace was cut off by another roar. It wasn't Chase's roar. It came from outside.

"What was that?" Chase looked back at the window as flame blew into it. It knocked Chase and the three Ryories down.

"AVAL!" It was Quince! Quince roared at the four Ryories and attacked them.

"Whoa!" Chase and the four Ryories fell out of the window. Chance hits the ground and tries to get up but the others land on top of him.

"Get off you idiots!" Chance growled. They all tried to get up as Quince attacked them again. Chase was trying to keep Rice away from escaping the chains and Trace stood up slowly, giving Chance the time to get up.

"That Ny'vene again!" Chase growled and noticed the flying dragon. He attacked Quince with all of his powers but the angry Ny'vene was too strong for him.

"YOU! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY TEAM!" Quince roared.

"Your team? You mean those other Ny'venes?" Chase was hit again as he tried to answer the Ny'vene's question.

"Yeah!" Quince finally landed on top of Chase's chest.

"Aval locked them up! Please don't hurt me!" Chase noticed two more Ny'venes nearby. It was the gold and silver Ny'vene.

"I have a team, so you better show us the place they've been locked up in!" Quince growled at Chase and the others.

"Yes, I will do that." Chase quickly got up after Quince released him and gathered the other Ryories in chains.

"Why do you have those three chained up? They are your kind, right?" The silver Ny'vene noticed the other Ryories in chains.

"They let the slaves get away so they have a death punishment." Chase grinned at Chance and his team.

"No! I will allow it!" The gold Ny'vene broke the chains.

"What? Why?" Quince gasped.

"If Aval is killing his own kind, he will over power everyone." The gold Ny'vene replied.

"But Takumi, you can't do that! Ryories solve things on their own." The silver Ny'vene reminded him.

"Oh." Takumi raised an eyebrow.

"Orion is right." Chase growled.

"Enough with the chatter, bring us to the prisoners now!!!" Quince roared.

"Yes..." Chase growled under his breath.

In the dungeon....

"I wonder if your mate knows we are here." Flame smirked again.

"Oh he knows." Jaden almost blew his flame thrower at Flame.

"What did I do?" Flame growled.

"Stop making fun of Rina. She is part of the royal heritage." Jaden roared.

"You four are so funny." A voice giggled. It was Aval, the dark and evil Ryori.

"What do you want?" Jaden growled while looking at Aval.

"You four. You all won't be leaving so soon." Aval laughed.

"Aw man. He's such a butt hole!" Flame growled as Aval walked away from the cage.

Knight was looking at the ground. He was a very calm Ny'vene that knew how to wait for help. He never tried to escape when he was caught.

"Knight, why aren't you fighting to leave this dungeon?" Flame asked while looking confused at the calm sylesti.

"Fighting with Aval is not going to help us!" Knight grumbled.

"Fine...." Flame looked at the ground too. Rina finally sat down, but jerked her head up when she heard something. Seven figures walked up to the cage. It was Quince and his team along with the evil Ryories.

"Chance, why did that Ny'vene save us?" Trace asked.

"We owe you three." Chance hissed a little bit.

"You three are not going to get away with it for long." Chase mumbled.

"You three are lucky Takumi saved you from death. He doesn't like other sylesties of any kind becoming the center of death." Orion replied.

"Rice, Chance, and Trace, you three have done enough." Chase called them.

"If you kill those three, you will be sorry!" Takumi roared.

"You have my word!" Chase growled.

"Rina?" Quince walked up to the cage.

"Quince?" Rina looked at him, she smiled. She was happy to see him.

"Quince has come." Jaden smiled too.

Knight looked at Quince, be he didn't smile. He only gave him a stare. Flame was jumping to get out of the chains.

"Please get us out!" Flame cried.

"Hang on." Quince was trying to get them out with his flame thrower attack, but it didn't work.

"And what do we have here? More Ny'venes and sir Quince came back?" Aval appeared behind them.

"You are not going to attack me again!" Quince roared.

"You and what army?" Aval grinned as a bunch of Ryories appeared behind him.

"This army!" Quince finally got the cage to open be banged on it and Orion broke off the chains with his earth powers.

"No!" Aval roared.

"You will pay!" Jaden flew over to Aval and picked him up. He slammed the evil Ryori to the ground. Aval was dizzy but he was able to shake it off and attack Quince. Rina leaped on Chase and Chance.

"Ow! I'm not bad anymore!" Chance fled the battle and joined Rice and Trace.

"You better run!" Rina roared as she was attacked by Chase, but Flame burned him.

"You little!" Chase growled. Quince was fighting Aval, he was not as tough but he was still going to kill him.

"I will kill you!" Quince roared.

"Why are you here anyway? What about your kids?" Aval growled at him.

"The slaves are taking care of that matter!" Quince tackled Aval and slashed him with his sharp talons. Aval screeched and threw Quince off of him.

"This is not over yet! You all will pay!" Jaden roared at the Ryories.

Knight was defending Rina and Flame.

"We need more sylesties. We are dealing with a full deck of Ryories." Knight growled.

They all tried to keep the Ryories at bay.

Xavier and Windflight kept on going on the bright path. They were running back to the forest to find new place they have never been to yet. Suddenly, Xavier heard a voice calling him He turned to see a lot of dark figures from the shadows.

"Hey! You two!" It was Angel and the slaves! They found the two Luffoxes at last.

"Who are you all?" Xavier was confused.

"I'm Angel, I came from the Wind Chasing Forest. It was once a place ruled in peace by your mother. She protected us all from the Ryories until one day, Aval took over. He finally gained control and captured us. I didn't even know what happened to Maiden but she left the forest and I never seen her again. But I realized that I had to save all of my friends. But I was too late." Angel explained her side of the story.

"You know our mother?" Xavier asked.

"I do." Angel nodded.

"Can you take us to her?" Windflight asked.

"Well, she's gone. She's not in this world anymore." Angel was trying not to make her cry.

"Our mother is gone? For real. Was Quince telling the truth?" Xavier tilted his head to one side.

"Quince is correct. I met him the first time that Aval caught him." Angel replied.

"Our father is in trouble!?" Windflight was surprised.

"Yes, we need to find him and help him fight Aval! You two will rule the Wind Chasing Forest!" Angel nodded quickly.

"And you two can chase off the Ryories with your powerful Wind Chasing roar!" Sebastian cheered.

"We can roar?" Xavier was very confused now.

"No time! Let's go!" A Vulynx called from the group and ran ahead.

Angel ran after him and so did the others. Windflight and Xavier followed them too and their journey was starting to come to an end. Aval was going to be taken down once and for all!

Quince was bleeding to death, Aval was beating him up badly as Rina was pinned down by a pack of Ryories. Chance and the other two Ryories wanted to help Quince and his team. Rice and Trace looked to the right and saw Knight getting attacked, but he was still in better shape. He was not scratched at all as he kicked five Ryories down and pinned them all.

"I'm sorry but the five of you lost!" Knight slits their throats. Flame burned down the Ryories that had Rina pinned down. Rina let out a loud roar and attacked Aval. She was protecting her mate now.

"Rina no! Aval is getting stronger! I can fight!" Quince was gasping for breath. He was really bleeding as the blood dripped on the ground.

"No! I must help!" Rina growled at Aval.

"Oh my, protecting your loved one? Well say good bye!" Aval was about to slash Rina and Quince, but he was tackled down by Chance.

"You will never hurt Quince or his mate!" Chance hissed at Aval.

"What? Why are you siding with them?" Aval was confused at this.

"You had us on a death punishment!" Rice hissed.

"And you would kill your own kind!" Trace made a huge point to all of the Ryories who gasped.

"No! They are lying! I'm loyal to my kind! I'm not loyal to those who cannot keep slaves from escaping! Kill all three of them!" Aval roared again as the Ryories started to attack Chance and his team.

Chance slashed Chase and threw him towards Quince who bit his neck.

"You took us this far, but you shall die!" Quince growled though his teeth with the gray Ryori's neck in his jaws. He snapped his neck and broke it. Blood was dripping on the ground. Chase was dead. Quince could barely stand because he was still bleeding himself.

Flame helped Knight and attacked a rainbow colored Ryori that had the power to slow all of Quince's team down.

"Ow!" The rainbow Ryori hissed.

The battle was going to last all day...

Aval was not ready to give up yet. He was ready to kill Chance and kill Quince. Jaden leaped at Aval with all of his might and slashed Aval in the back. The Ryori growled and fought back. Jaden dodged his dark moves and used his light moves against the evil king.

Aval was not going to back down until he won...

Chapter 9: Qunice's Sacrifice

Angel and her group hear roaring and yelling from afar, they were getting close to the Wind Chasing Forest which was corrupted by the Ryories themselves. Angel sped up with Xavier and Windflight behind her. The other sylesties were trying hard to keep up. The Morkko finally sped up with Angel and noticed some Ny'venes fighting with a huge group of Ryories.

"That's the place!" The Morkko shouted out. Angel nodded to the Morkko and went far ahead with Sebastian on her back.

"We got to stop them!" Xavier looked at Windflight.

"Yes, but we never figured out my power yet!" Windflight was worried.

"Don't worry, when you battle this time, your power will come to you. You just have to be patient!" Xavier smiled at her. Windflight smiled too as they were keeping up with Angel and Sebastian.

Quince was ready to knock out Aval. The black Ryori didn't want to give in so easily, he wanted to gain control over the Wind Chasing Forest and make it his own kingdom.

"I already spared your Ny'vene kingdom! This one is mine now! Why don't you all just give up!" Aval growled, he was starting to get super angry.

"This isn't your home!" Chance finally snapped.

"Traitor! You three are not true Ryories are you?" Aval growled.

"You are correct!" Rice grinned.

Jaden tackled Aval down and held him still.

"What are you doing!?" Aval hissed.

"You are going to die!" Jaden was about to bite into the Ryori's neck, but the evil Ryori vanished and appeared behind the tough Ny'vene and elbowed him in the back.

"Oof!" Jaden's breath was knocked out.

"Jaden!" Quince shouted out.

"If you three are not Ryories, then what sylesti are you?" Aval growled at Chance, Trace and Rice.

The three Ryories morphed into three Puffadores.

"You see we had to take the the form of Ryories to fool you." Chance explained.

Everyone gasped.

"Now I get it! KILL THEM ALL!" Aval roared. All of the Ryories attacked. They slashed the Puffadores and almost knocked out Trace but the Puffadore leaped into the air and bit into the enemies. Quince was fighting with Aval once again. Jaden slowly got back up and helped Rina and Flame take down a few more Ryories. Knight was still battling with the rainbow Ryori.

Angel and the others made it just in time as they noticed the Ryories attacking three Puffadores.

"Get off of them now!" Angel leaped on a black and white Ryori. The Ryori screeched in pain and limped away. Rice was saved by the Zolnixi that he had trapped. He sighed and thanked her. Angel nodded as Sebastian knocked down a blue Ryori that was about to attack them.

"We need to get more good sylesties!" Angel shouted.

All of the slaves made too, the good sylesties attacked as well. The Vulynx bit into a green Ryori's tail and dragged it away into it's claws.

"Ow ow ow!" It yelled as it tried to break free.

Jaden helped Rina and Flame again, he charged at a black and yellow Ryori and hit it in the eyes. The Ryori yelped and ran away for good. Flame used his flame thrower at a light blue Ryori, it was burned and smoked up. It fainted. Knight kicked down one of the Puffadores by mistake.

"Oops, my bad." Knight quickly said as he helped Rice up.

"Thanks. We are sorry if we fooled you." The Puffadore shook off and continued to help the others fight.

Aval was not going to give in. Windflight and Xavier saw Aval and they tried to get to him but there was too many Ryories to get through, they had to attack as well. Xavier used his magic attacks and so did Windflight. Some of the Ryories knew about their powers and dodged them. Windflight was pinned down by a white Ryori, he grinned. Xavier was getting bit by a red Ryori.

"Ugh!" Windflight was able to throw the Ryori off and help Xavier who was almost in a huge amount of pain. Aval and Quince were still at it as Quince used his flame thrower to take Aval down, but the Ryori vanished and appeared behind the strong sylesti and kicked him in the face.

"You will never see your kids again!" Aval was ready to kill Angel as he saw her.

"You will not hurt Angel! She came back to help us get rid of you!" Quince slashed the evil Ryori in the eye.

"Ow! You little!" Aval grunted and panted, he was running out of breath to continue fighting the strong Ny'vene but he was far from giving in. Aval finally stood his ground and so did Quince.

"You will not go near my kids! They will come and get you Aval!" Quince roared.

"Heh! If you think you beat me then you are wrong! You are really stupid!" Aval laughed.

"Grrr!" Quince growled at Aval who was grinning big.

Finally Windflight and Xavier got to them and they stood there. Aval saw them from the corner of his eye.

"You two!" Aval growled as he opened his mouth wide and charged up a blast that shot out at full speed.

"Oh no!" Xavier got in the way to protect Windflight, but Quince flew at full speed and knocked them both away form the blast in time. The blast ended up hitting their foster father.

"Nooooooooo!" Xavier shouted. The wind chaser Luffox was looking at their father. Quince was getting shocked from the blast, it was super strong. Strong enough to kill a sylesti in one full hit. Aval closed his mouth as Quince was in pain. He fell over, static all over his body. Rina looked back and saw her mate down. Jaden and Knight saw this too. Flame was about to use his flame thrower in the rainbow Ryori, but he looked back and saw their leader on the ground. Angel stopped kicking and fighting. Sebastian looked at Angel.

"What's going on?" Sebastian leaped over to the two Luffoxes. Windflight was shocked to see their foster father on the ground.

"Quince!" Angel ran up to him.

"Oh my mate!" Rina flew over to Quince.

Jaden flew down next to Quince and so did Knight and Flame.

"Sir?" Flame breathed out.

All of the Ryories stopped attacking, guilt was hung to them. They have done wrong. Aval grinned at the sight.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Your father is not going to make it after that!" Aval laughed until something stabbed him. It was shiny and it went through his chest!

"You have done enough!" A voice hissed.

"What?" Aval turned his head to see another wind chaser Luffox. She was angry and had long tusks.

Xavier noticed her, but was sad about Quince.

"You have done enough!" The female Luffox growled.

"No! You jumped off the cliff! My Ryories said you did!" Aval was scared of his chest bleeding. He was in pure pain. He was also going down along with Quince.

"You have caused trouble here!" She growled.

"Maiden?" Angel noticed her.

"Angel, thank you." She nodded to her.

"That's your mother." Sebastian told them.

"Mom?" Windflight looked up.

"Windflight, your power is in your tusks. Just like me." Maiden took her tusks out of Aval chest. Aval let out a silent cry of pain and fell to the ground. Blood was slowly spreading out on the grass. He was a few lengths away from the half dead Ny'vene.

Maiden disappeared and her words echoed.

"May the upper wind chasers guide you both..."

Maiden was gone. Her spirit helped them.

"Oh Quince, get up!" Rina cried, tears filled her eyes. Flame and Knight looked down at the ground, they were sad too. All of the Ryories started to cry as well. They were wrong, they all cried out.

Windflight and Xavier cried too.

"Our mother came..." Windflight sobbed.

"But our dad is gone!" Xavier cried too.

Angel was also in tears. Quince was her new friend, Sebastian was almost in tears as he hugged Angel's leg and tried to hold it all in. All of the sylesties cried.

"R-Rina... Please take over the Ny'vene Kingdom. You are needed there. Go... Back..." Quince grunted, he didn't have much time left to stay alive.

"But Quince, we all need you!" Rina was crying.

"No... You have... Flame... Knight... and Jaden... They will help you..." Quince replied, coughing.

"Dad, please don't die too." Windflight nudged him to get up.

"I'm so sorry... Xavier... Windflight.... My time is just about up..." Quince spoke slowly. His breathing was turning shallow.

"Take a deep breath Quince." Rice and his group of Puffadores tried to help him.

"I can't... The hit was too... Powerful...." Quince tried but it didn't work.

"Quince, please! Get up!" Rina tried again. But Quince couldn't get up.

"It's no use, he's gone Rina. Let it go." Knight pulled her into a hug. Rina cried into his chest.

"Oh Rina..." Jaden stood there, he was upset too. He looked down at Quince who still had his eyes open for a few minutes longer.

"Sorry everyone... I'm sorry Angel... I'm sorry Sebastian..." Quince was looking at them both while he was on the ground.

"Oh Quince...." Angel was speechless. Sebastian finally broke into tears. Windflight and Xavier were still in tears. They were about to lose their new father.

"One last thing before I'm gone from this world...." Quince started.

Everyone looked at him once he sad that.

"Take good care of those wind chasers Angel... Do your... Best...." Quince took his last breath as he closed his eyes, never to open them again. Rina saw this and quickly tried to called Quince back. It was far too late, Quince was dead...

"Oh my god!" Rina hugged Knight again. She was hurt badly, just as much as Windflight and Xavier.

The Ryories vanished, never to return to the forest again as it began to rain. It was a stormy day and the darkness disappeared from the sky to prove it.

"Noooooooooooooooooo!" Xavier shouted.

Everyone cried again. Jaden picked up Quince's body and flew off, everyone followed him.

"Here lies Quince. He was a good leader and a good father to the two Luffoxes..." Jaden placed him next to some shining dust. Flame picked up the dust and sprinkled it on top of the body. Suddenly, Quince's spirit rose from it and everyone gasped.

Quince's spirit nuzzled Rina's cheek and it flew around everyone before leaving. Windflight and Xavier hugged Quince's spirit. Quince hugged them back and looked back at the others one last time before joining Maiden in the heavens.

Maiden sat on the yellow clouds waiting for him. Quince joined her and the heavens closed.

"Quince was a good Ny'vene. Thank you both." Rina petted Windflight and Xavier.

"We loved him too." Xavier replied. He sniffled and walked back to the destroyed castle.

"It's time to rebuild the castle here." Knight looked up at it. The Wind Chasing Forest was ruined, but they knew it could be fixed. The three Puffadores pitched in to help as well, the apologized for confusing everyone. They told them the reason for taking the form of Ryories, it was to spy on Aval and keep him busy.

The castle was almost back to normal as the sky was turning clear.

Chapter 10: Castle Reborn/ The End


The Ny'venes were helping the rest of the sylesti rebuild the Wind Chasing Forest. They remade the homes and parks. Even the castle. Windflight and Xavier were up in throne room of the castle, they were cleaning up the place so that they could enjoy their new home. Since Quince has been dead for a couple days, they decided to stay silent until the forest is restored once again.

"Knight, can you help us?" One of the Puffadores asked.

"I'm on it!" Knight flew towards them and lifted the bricks and wood. Orion and Takumi finally came by to help. They were tired from the battle but they did not have scars on their bodies.

"What's up everyone?" Orion asked.

"We are working." Jaden grumbled, he was still sad about the death of his leader and now it was up to him to take the Ny'vene Kingdom throne along with Rina. Rina was still in the forest next to Quince's grave. The best Ny'vene who has ever lived died from a harsh blow from an evil Ryori.

Aval's body was still on the ground, it was vanishing slowly. Aval's death was very painful and harsh as well. Windflight finally came out and noticed that Aval's body was disappearing, it was not going to return to the Wind Chasing Forest, it was forever lost in a different line in time.

"Aval..." Windflight growled under her breath. Xavier walked up to her and noticed how tense she was. He laid his fluffy tail on her shoulder and she looked up at him.

"It's alright Windflight... We still have each other." Xavier smiled at her. Windflight nodded and they both walked into the castle to continue dusting the throne room and organizing things. Rina finally noticed Angel and Sebastian nearby, they wanted to comfort her.

"We are so sorry about your mate. I never knew that you two were together in a relationship." Angel sighed, the armored Zolnixi did not know what to say to the Ny'vene.

"No, it's alright. Quince did this to protect us all. Maiden finally saw what was happening between the two." Rina guessed.

"Yes, she knew that Aval went too far and she came to help us in spirit." Angel smiled a little bit.

"Well since the forest is getting fixed up, why don't you all stay here?" Sebastian suggested to the Ny'venes.

"No, we have a kingdom." A voice was heard from behind, it was Flame's voice.

"Flame!" Rina smiled.

"Yeah, how can you build a huge castle that was broken down from the attack?" Flame pointed at the half renewed castle.

"It takes a lot of work." Takumi flew down near them.

"I hate work..." Flame growled.

"Oh Flame!" Rina giggled.

"What's going here?" Xavier came up from behind the group. They had the dusting part of their work done. Jaden was getting the castle walls cleaned up while the other sylesties finished up the building of the new wind chaser castle.

"Well the castle looks good from here." Rina looked at it.

"Yes, the castle looks finished now." Windflight purred.

"Our mother will be happy, and our dad." Xavier thought about their Ny'vene father and their real mother.

"Do you think Quince is really happy?" Windflight wondered.

"Quince and our mother loved us, so of course!" Xavier smiled at her. She gave him a smile too and they all walked back into the kingdom.

"This is goodbye." Rina and her group were leaving the Wind Chasing Forest.

"Will you guys visit?" Angel asked.

"Yes! Please come visit!" Sebastian cheered.

"If you all visit I will tell you all a story!" The old Luffox chuckled.

"We will visit sometime later." Jaden replied to everyone.

"For now, we have a new leader to appoint." Takumi was in the air. Orion was getting ready to take off as well.

"Flame wait!" Windflight came out of the castle with a book in her jaws.

"Yes?" Flame looked back.

"Here, you can learn how to cook meals from this book!" Windflight grinned.

"Um... Thanks..." Flame blushed, and Rina laughed.

"Ha ha! You blushed at a Luffox!" Rina teased him.

"Alight you two, Knight and I are to leave. Takumi and Orion have already left." Jaden called to them.

"Coming!" Rina and Flame called in unison as they were flapping their wings and flying into the air.

"Goodbye! Come back and visit some time!" Xavier called to all four of them. They were far from the forest now. Going back home to the Ny'vene Kingdom were they belonged.

Xavier was left to ponder on what to do since they saved their home from an evil Ryori and his group. Trace, Rice and Chance were all near the castle entrance as the new guards of the castle and Xavier always nodded to them while Windflight waved at them.

"So Xavier, what do you think we can do now?" Windflight asked, she was looking into his eyes.

"I don't know. Maybe we can go to the cliffs and let the wind blow against us. We do need the fresh air." Xavier left the castle with Windflight by his side.

When they both reached the cliffs, the wind was blowing a small breeze of glowing dust. It was from below where Maiden fell. It was her Wind Chaser Blessing, the heart of the wind chaser was still on the earth.

"I think it is time." Xavier looked into Windflight's eyes. She looked into his and they started mating. Quince was up above in the heavens with Maiden watching them.

"They won." Quince smiled.

"They did. Thank you Quince." Maiden licked Quince's cheek.

They both chased each other, up in heaven peacefully.

Xavier and Windflight were back at the castle, they had two new Luffox eggs in a nest.

"We shall see what they look like soon." Xavier smiled at his mate.

"Yes." Windflight purred. She was excited to have more of their kind exist in the forest once again.

"Sir Xavier, the sylesties are doing well here. They are at peace." Trace interrupted their moment.

"Good. Thank you Trace." Xavier nodded.

Angel and Sebastian were gathering water for their new house, they stocked up on food from the towns in Sylestia and brought them back to the Wind Chasing Forest every morning.

"This is very nice! We finally got our peace back after a long journey." Sebastian was hopping around Angel. He was glad that their home was saved.

"I agree." Angel replied.

A few years later, Xavier and Windflight's kids hatched and grew bigger each day. At the end of the day they would look up at the nice sunset and let the wind blow against them.

"Ivory and Ian." Xavier named his kids. Windflight agreed with the names.

"May the upper wind chasers guide you both..." Maiden's voice echoed through the forest.

Xavier heard his mother's voice, Windflight was looking at the sunset as Ivory and Ian were sleeping in their mother's paws.

Jaden was on the throne along side of Rina, he was the new king of the Ny'vene Kingdom. Flame was working on the new cooking skills he was tasked with thanks to Takumi and Orion who gave him the new job in the kitchen. Knight was the new guard of the castle and he only opened the castle doors to friends or other Ny'venes royal to the kingdom.

Everything was slowly recovering from the destruction of the forest. All of the Ryories left to find a new home and to find peace forever.

"May my spirit be with you... You have both done well...." Quince's voice echoed through the Wind Chasing Forest.
