Yeah, I remember being a bit disappointed, as this past year I finally had the money to get the sets I had missed, just to find they weren't re-released. x3

I also have to say I'm not in favor of a cycle of monthly items every few years, either. That would steadily drive prices down without a doubt. But with everything going on right now and no new monthly items being released, coupled with the scarcity of the first year or so monthly sets due to how tiny the userbase was, with an even smaller userbase that was buying diamonds, I would love to see the old sets re-released monthly this year, even if it only lasted until the Megazone was released and/or we started getting new monthly avatar items again.

Also, dude, I must need to stalk the trade broker more because I never see any old monthlies for cheap like that, they always seem to be 300k+ when I'm looking.

I had to behave and not spend any money last year so I avoided the site a bit haha.

Maybe for the megazone release, or site anniversary, there could be a "Nostalgia Sale" where the older collections were available for a limited time.

(also, what are your thoughts on equally ancient festival items, which can only be brought back from some sorta "____ Festival 2013/2014 Chest"?)

Recently I've faced a problem when you have the money to buy the item, but there's no item to be sold. Most of the users which had bought the year 2013 monthly items, are no longer playing, and the rest is not willing to part with their monthly avatar stuff, which is totally fine of course, but makes new players unable to get those items at all. In my opinion, that's kind of unfair. My only fault is not knowing about this site in 2013.

Well, I guess those items are meant to be limited, but, as the op said, it's been two years and there's a lot of new players who can't obtain some items because they simply weren't here then. And about the fact that the items, if re-released, would lose value - well, they would; but here I am, ready to pay, and looks like nobody is going to sell me anything, lol. So guess nobody is selling them at all, no matter the price.

To sum it up: I support this idea. I really don't like unobtainable items. Yes for rare, yes for expensive, but no for totally unavailable to get.

I'd like to see them re-released, but only as a limited number of them. This could be done through prizes of some kind, or perhaps a site run auction, which could not only get some new items out there, but let old players know how much their items are worth (and perhaps encourage more sales)

It would allow the early supporters of the site to retain some exclusivity for their support by keeping the items rare and expensive, while not making them unobtainable.

I'm not sure how I feel about putting them up for direct sale if there's no limit on how many are sold, because if they keep being made available every time there's none on the market then what was the point of them being exclusive monthly items in the first place?

Total support. I actually like the older outfits but can never find them since most of the users that old don't play anymore (or are too stubborn).

I support! Monthly items are rare on the broker, and the prices on them seem to be pretty stagnant. The whole purpose of having items sales is to encourage people to buy diamonds using real money to pay for the site. Having a bunch of hoarded ancient items that nobody can buy with either gold or diamonds doesn't do the administrators or the players any good.

And for those worried that it will reduce the items' value: How much do regularly-available Diamond Shop items go for on the broker? Does anyone even bother buying those to resell? It seems to me like buying extra items with the purpose of reselling at a profit is only really worth it if it's a random item box.

Personally, I don't think they should be rereleased. The items are special because they were only released for a short amount of time. It almost seems like a smack in the face for those who bought those monthlies using diamonds with the understanding that they would never be released again.

yes, but most of the people who would be smacked in the face don't even play Sylestia anymore. I can't say anything for those who have stuck with the game though...
