With either method you will be breeding, but the second one is great for those just starting out.

What you'll need to do then is find a really cheap lighira with 1 or more of the traits you need. You need to BUY at least 1 lighira to start so that you have a pet to breed with. Males are preferred. I recommend looking for lighira that ONLY have the three you need. If you buy pets with other traits it may cause issues when breeding and will just slow you down.

Note a few things:
1. Both have been TESTED. This means they show all of the traits they have, there are no carries.. and that means no bad surprises for you.
2. They both have 1 visible trait (traits you need), so you will get a 2 carry pet.
3. The owner of the female has not been online for nearly 500 days. But this is OK because the owner of the male was online 15 hours ago.

Your goal:
Get the owner of the male to breed him to the girl and give you the egg.

What you need to do:
Private message the owner of the male. You need to tell them something like this:
"Hi there, I'm starting my very first project, and I was wondering if you could breed your male (https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=177728) to this female: https://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=159916

I will pay for your breeding fee + the female's breeding fee + 250 gold to feed the female.

Thank you in advance."

After you send the message you just need to wait for their reply. Most people would be happy to do the breeding for you because it's easy and they do not lose anything from it. Since it is your first project they may even give you the egg for free. If it's not free your egg will only cost 550 gold!

Hopefully your egg hatches male so that you can breed him to lots of ladies at once. If it's a girl that's ok too.. you can always ask the same person to breed you another egg in hopes of receiving a male the second time.. but don't throw away your girl! She will be useful later.

She must have gotten the trait hiding underneath her father's jaguar. When breeding her make sure you try to avoid breeding appaloosa.

So now what should I do? Ask to breed them again?

You could, but the person will probably want you to pay for the next egg. You could also try looking for 2 lighiras yourself on advanced search.

Also it would have been impossible to get visibles from the pair I showed you. The only outcome was 2 carries. If you Google "punnett squares" it might explain it for you. It would also be helpful if you looked at the breeding guides in the player guides forum.

I happen to have a male with jeweled armor and one other undesirable trait in a slot you don't need. So, I bred him to a couple of suitable ladies. Here are two eggs to help you out.

Hopefully the quad horns don't give you too much trouble since you don't want anything in that slot. In my experience if there is a trait you don't want, the blasted thing carries over every time. :-P
