The blue Zolnixi made her way up the the white pillar with what seemed to be a notebook clamped in her jaws and the basket of pet dyes being carried with her tail, none of which seem to be used. Aquilina sets down the notebook and basket before shyly addressing the Ny'vene.
"Um, I sketched out a design so that the actual dyes wouldn't have to be used... Saving resources! I... I hope you don't mind!" The Zolnixi's soft voice trailed off as she held up the notebook to an open page, showing a detailed sketch of Maakrindah's son, only with different colors.
(Only color that didn't change was Color 1)
Also, sorry if I post too much, I just make up designs rather quickly
I walk around a bit, not wandering too far, and I see a little slip of paper on the floor, lost in the wind, 'Oh, what is this?' I ask myself. I puff a short breath, making the paper turn over and I see a sketch of the young Ny'Vene who is displeased with his colors. I see a little note at the bottom that reads: To conserve resources! I chuckle to myself a little, 'What a clever little Sylesti, I mentally applaud them' I find a pin-needle and grab the paper gently between my jaws, careful not to poke a hole with my teeth. I post it on the wall near the white pillar Maakrindah seems to have gotten fond of, to let the world, well at least the Sylestis here, see how clever this Sylesti was.

After frantically searching for her lost entry, Aquilina turns towards Maakrindah's white pillar to see it pinned on the wall nearby and a blood-red Lupora walking away from it. Assuming that it was the sylesti that found her sketch, she called out.
"Th-thank you!" The shy Zolnixi ran up to the Lupora and continued, "I don't know what I would have done if I truly lost it!" Taking a closer look, Aquilina noticed that it was the Lupora that had entered earlier. "Oh! You're another contestant! I-um... I saw your design. I liked what you did with the blue!"

I look down at the small Zolnixi standing before me, almost awkardly, as if she didn't like being in the spot light, "Why, thank you," I bare my teeth at her in a smile and see her grimace. "Oh, sorry, not very good at smiling. Anyways, I like how you sketched your entry before actually dying him, but may I ask, how many colors were changed?" I turn and look at the Ny'Vene perched on the pillar, feeling her curiously watchful eyes, then I turn back to the little Nixie, waiting for an answer.

Her ears flatten when she hears the question and she awkwardly shuffles her front paws. Her gaze turns towards the ground. Her reply comes at a whisper. "I-I changed almost all of them. Changed 9 out of 10..." Aquilina sits down and awkwardly wraps her tail around her paws, still avoiding the Lupora's curious gaze.

I rubbed against the side of her petite body in a loving manner, "Don't be embarrassed, but the changes were subtle, it doesn't seem like 9 of them changed, to be honest..." I walked over to the pillar, or close enough to it, and laid down, beckoning the little Nixie over with a shake of my head. I looked up at the towering Ny'Vene, Maakrindah, and asked her a simple question, "What do you think? Or am I not allowed to ask that question?"

Aquilina jumped at the sudden touch, her wings lifting her an inch off of the ground. When she touched back down, she scurried over to where the Lupora was laying down and sat next to her. Maakrindah's gaze seemed to burn into her soul so she avoided looking up. "I'm not embarrassed it's just... I don't think Maakrinda would like it if her son changed too much. I-I mean, what if your child wanted to completely change? You'd be disapproving at first too." The Zolnixi's soft voice seemed to hold much emotion, considering that she held no connection to what she had just said.

I look down back at her, "That's very true, but I wouldn't know as I've neither a mate nor a pup of my own. Are you okay though? You seem very skittish..." I lick my paws, my ears pricking at a noise nearby.

A soft laugh escapes her as she looks at the Lupora next to her. "Neither would I. I have no mate, no kits, but I also have no parents. I guess that may be why I'm so skittish... And why I try to understand situations like this." Her bright eyes seemed to cloud with emotion as she blankly stared at a wall.

(In response to Mews question: What do you think about the slight differences?)
Maakrindah looked down at the lupora and zolnixi from her white pillar perch. "Well it seems my son is defiant already and there is no point in stopping him now," her face contorted into a grimace that screamed annoyance. She examined her son for a moment, watching him look at himself in the mirror and taking note of the lupora's work. Maakrindah mumbled in the direction of the red lupora, continuing her reply to the question, "Seeing as how I no longer have control over my son, you Sylesties can do as you please with the dyes, whether they are to my liking or his it doesn't matter."
(AKA: You guys are free to design how you wish, whether you adhere to the mother's wishes or the son's. I'm open... in the end it is MY decision whether my pets like it or not. xD)

Aquilina was snapped out of her small trance when she heard the great Ny'vene's voice. She finally looked up to see the annoyance on Maakrindah's face and suddenly her shy personality rushed back to her. "Ah! I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that! I... um..." The zolnixi seemed to lose her words and she quietly muttered nonsense as a huge blush spread across her face. Aquilina's ears flattened in embarrassment as she closed her mouth.
(Ah, how annoying it will be for both of them if the design pleases neither of them XD
this entire page is just roleplay and questions so far wow)
