Mint, I think you'll have better luck with sales if you get your pets genetically tested. If you look in the Breeding Discussion forum, you'll see lots of people offering free genetic testing for pets.

Getting the pets genetically tested lets buyers see exactly what traits they are buying. If you buy an un-tested pet, you're buying a mystery and therefore want to be very stingy with your gold. Even a Tamed pet with a Visible trait might have another trait Hidden behind the trait you can see. Genetic testing will reveal this trait, if it's there.
