Ohh ok thanks, might go for a re-draw round three eventually lol...you don't mind if I use your red lines, do you?

I suppose sometimes references don't go well for me because they are usually not quite the ones I'm looking for...

...thanks, I'll have a look at the links when I get back from classes tomorrow.

Are you going to critique the others when you have time? :D

1. Aha, rofl...I actually thought it looked dull and admittedly the background and coloring was bit rushed, that was kinda why I headed back to redraw, I wanted to actually out bit more effort into it since the old one was initially from someone's redline they did for me.

2. ....oopsies

3. Aha, this was an art trade with a very amazing artist, and I did mine mostly off MS Paint since GIMP was buggy for me, I felt so bad about it, so I did a redraw eventually just to make up for it since their half was amazing. (Look up Grypwolf on deviantart)...the animation on the old one was I suppose,a shabby way to make up for my half....

Ohh awesome...do you mind if I pull up more artworks later in for critiques?

Lol...sorry, heh, just in a critique mood and I hadn't got those in a long time (awhile back I was very uncomfortable with any forms of critiques, mostly due to old wounds....I used to be in a website where I was constantly getting bullied, flamed and picked on to the point I stopped and did not accept any critiques...yeah...)

Though this community is alright, so I guess I'd be fine having critiques from you guys, I'm bit more open about it than I had been years back

Sure! Post as many as you like. ^^ Doing critiques actually helps me improve, too. It makes me think about composition and stuff, and sometimes I actually end up doing research for anatomy to make sure what I'm telling people is actually correct xD So I learn stuff along the way haha

And I'm sorry that happened to you :c A lot of people forget, or even deliberately ignore, the fact that critiques are supposed to be about helping people and building up their knowledge and confidence, and instead use them to bully people and tear them down...Artists should support each other. Every artist, no matter how experienced, can still learn and improve even more. And we can't do that if we don't share our knowledge with each other!

*hugs you tightly*

Well, I'm glad it's in the past now, though...that permanent-ban was uncalled for...but oh well, past is past, and I'm in the safe, loving, friendly, Sylestian community now ^_^

to be honest, I'd rather get a critique off here than DeviantArt...

For the first one: I lke the proportions better on the old one, but I find the dramatic effects on the re-draw to be pretty interesting.

The second: Your original one was rather simplistic, you have improved a lot! I like how you added the sun's glare to your improved image, as well as the cloud of satellites around the planet. The planet seems a bit oblong in the second picture, a bit too much like an oval in my opinion. I'm assuming that the white thing is the moon, if it is, remember that hard surfaces in space like the moon normally don't have such a haze around them, unless there is a large amount of derbies orbiting them.

The Final [Countdown]: I can't decide which one I like better. The first one is nice, but simplistic. I like the effects on the re-draw, but I have a feeling that the snout is not pointy enough. You gave the wolf a more domesticated dog-like snout. Also, the ears are a bit on the small side. Ears on wolves seem to usually be roughly around the same length as the top of the snout.

Disclaimer: (I am no expert in drawing wolves)

For the first picture, the proportions are much better. The background is a lot better in the second, and the sun does draw your attention. But I also find it takes away the focus on the wolf itself, maybe because the sun itself is quite large. I think the wolf should also be darker with shadows, since the light source is from the back. I also think the photo sparkle also draws attention away since it is pretty much the sparkliest and whitest thing in the photo, and it is not close to the wolf.

2nd, I like it when your moon has shading in the old pic. xD
And I think you should increase the shading in the new Earth, it would make it more realistic and more dramatic.
Space should just be black as well, so the background should be black.

3rd. Your old anatomy is better. The new one has a snout that is too narrow. And the neck seems a bit too thick at the base?

...hmm interesting, people normally tell me that my old anatomy was horrid lol, though in the third section I actually traced my pencil drawing to digitalization it lol, something might have been lost during that process....
