His forehead scrunched up slightly as he listened to her talking. He started out in a soft voice, "Satyr, I'm actually-" but he was cut off in the flurry of activity when her sister arrived. He tried to smooth his face out as he looked at her to make a better impression and took her hand, giving it a firm shake. "It's ah, nice to meet you too, Saquia. I hope you can get that position." He tried for a smile again and found he was a bit more successful as he looked at the two sisters. He hesitantly turned back a bit more to face Phinesa. "Um. I just wanted to make sure that I was uh. Clear with you." He reached one hand up and scratched at the base of his horn bed slightly. "I'm not a satyr, although I'm not entirely sure what the difference is? But I've always been raised being told that my people and I were fauns, not satyrs." He looked down at the ground slightly, his cloven hoof scraping against the ground slightly. "I'm er. Sorry if I deceived you, even for a little while. If you don't want to talk to me anymore I'd understand."

"Well I'm sorry I interrupted I'm going to see if I can find Mythos." Saquia left, "Oh okay. I'm not exactly sure but when I was younger my sister told me some satyr bedtime stories, In them fauns were the satyrs who didn't want to fight each other. So they left and were so disgusted of how their other people acted they stated calling themselves fauns to not be affiliated with the violent ones." She blushed "I'm sorry. I really shouldn't be the one to talk to. I don't know very much about my people. You see Saquia and I have been one our own since.... well since I can remember."

Kaya noticed a girl sitting by herself she went up to her "Hi my names Kaya and I'm a Kitsune, What's your name?" Her sisters walked over, "Oh and these are my sisters, Kali and Kala. I'm sure you'll be great friends with one of us."

Alderic was having fun talking to Jora then he noticed a girl slunking next to the wall "Excuses me, Jora, I need to do something." He walked up to the girl by the wall and touched her shoulder "Hi, my names Alderic. Why aren't you hanging out with anybody, if you don't mind me asking? There's at least 40 kids in this hallway."

A'ine noticed a guy looking kind of out of place in the middle of the mess hall. She went up to him, "Hi, I'm A'ine and I'm going into the equine class. What's your name?" She looked back to where her brother was sitting her was watching her. He nodded to her and did a motion that meant to remind her to smile. She turned back to the boy and smiled her brightest smile.

Argh sorry, I was asleep! XD

Keegan had been at the hall within five minutes of the announcement. He had hardly slept at all last night, and was already dressed and ready by the time he was given instructions. He had entered the mess hall and sat down anywhere, hoping for no interaction today. He stayed that way until a girl came over and introduced herself to him. Keegan grinned lazily and replied "I'm Keegan. Yeah, I'm in the bird class too." He stopped talking until he realised the girl was still there and waiting for him to continue. He knew he wasn't very good at holding up conversations with strangers without seeming like a total jerk, and inwardly face palmed, hoping he didn't seem too rude. "Um... so what are you anyway? Phoenix, Dragon?" he asked bluntly. Keegan had heard they had a peryton this year, but kind of hoped it wasn't this girl. Besides, she seemed both too strong and jumpy for that.

Tadi had slept in- of course- despite strict instructions to be down at the mess by 8. He was debating even going at all, knowing he probably wasn't going to fit in as much as he didn't last year. Most of the other kids in his class had trained for years and he was simply a human for most of his life. Plus he was a 'half breed' and although his mother told him that was good in sylph culture, he had learnt quickly it was not in most others. He sighed and raked his hand through his hair, mussing it up. The thought of food though was too enticing for him... plus he was going to meet his sister today, who had just enrolled.

Eniko hated the school already. She missed her family a ton and the school felt unnatural. It was all stone walls and floors and she felt closed in by it. There was nothing that she could connect to, and after living in a forest her whole life, it was a big change. She wanted nothing more than to run away, out into the forest but she had promised herself she'd last more than a day. Eniko tied a green ribbon into her hair and then slowly made her way to the mess hall. She was still getting used to having two legs, not four, and so she stumbled a bit. When she got inside, the room was crowded with more people than she'd ever seen in her life. It was a bit startling for her. The air smelt of the dangerous mix of human and animals. Falling short of breath, she stood to the side of the door, hoping that no one would notice her.

Haizea was both excited and resentful about her first day at Mythos High. Excited because she was going to learn a lot, resentful because she was going to have to meet her brother. He would probably be intolerably jealous of her upbringing. He would probably continuously challenge her to prove his worth like the pathetic human he had grown up to be. She was sure she could kick his butt though if he gave her too much trouble. Smirking, she brushed her hair into two long plaits and then hurried out. It was not respectful to the teachers to be late, and it would do her no good either. Haizea entered the cafeteria with her head down and took a seat furthest away from the door. She briefly wondered if her brother would look like her, but quickly banished the thought from her head.

Jubal was about to say goodbye to Saquia but she turned and walked away before he could get anything out, he dropped his hand which he had raised slightly and turned back to listen to Phinesa as she gave her explanation. He made a soft hum in the back of his throat. "Perhaps. I know we had some basic self defense and training where I grew up, but it was never compulsory..." His recently dissipated blush soared back to life as he continued, "I ah, I was never any good at it. I'm much better at music than fighting." He rocked slightly where he sat before continuing in a quieter voice. "I'm...Sorry to hear that. I was raised by my mother and aunts with the other young fauns. I...Couldn't imagine what that would be like. But I'm glad you seem to be okay now." He looked at her again and tried to offer a more sure smile.

"Hi! I'm Astrid, a kitsune like you three. Glad to meet you!" said Astrid, tilting her head to the side and grinning. The three looked friendly enough, and they were kitsunes so they had at least one thing in common. "Kinda packed here huh?" she said, gesturing to the hall.

Ember jumped and turned. "Uh, I really don't know anyone," she stammered. Great. Now he would think she was shy and afraid of people. Which she wasn't. She was just reclusive, and didn't like to talk much.

Orion turned to the girl. "Hi! The name's Orion. I'm going into bird class," he said, smiling slightly. He couldn't help but like her cheery grin. She didn't seem nervous at all.

A'eda'n watched his sister talk to a guy then his eyes wandered the room and her saw something slightly peculiar, a guy with claws he walked up to him and noticed his neck was bleeding A'eda'n walked up to him "um.. Hi, I noticed you were bleeding, do you want a bandanna or something?"

Kali noticed a guy looking sort of nervous she tapped Kaya and point and motioned that she was going over to him. She grabbed her note book and pen for her sister's backpack and went over to him and taped his shoulder. She wrote 'Hi, my name's Kali, can you write English?'

Ilandere wasn't sure if his blunt question was rude so she replied like it was normal "I'm a dragon, um at the risk of being rude and sounding like an idiot, I was wondering how you got inured," She lifted her hair up and revealed her scarred eye. "My was from humans."

Keegan froze up. He knew he was going to be asked that question, but not that quickly. He felt his muscles tense and mentally tried to calm himself down. Breathe Keegan, he told himself. He tried not to let his disdain show on his face to Ilandere, not wanting her to think he was angry at her. He refused to meet her eyes as he said "Yeah, same here." Keegan stared at the ground. "They took my family too," he muttered bitterly, unsure of whether the girl heard him or not.

"To be honest I'm not very good at fighting either, Saquia didn't want me to have to. Yeah it was a REALLLLY long time ago I don't even remember them. Saquia tells me I look a lot like our mother but I don't know if she's lying." Phinesa smiled back at him I've got to get him to smile like that again he looks so cute "It must have been fun to have so many people around to teach you I've only had Saquia and a mysterious Grandmother Diann that I remember bits and pieces of. I think we should start heading to the mess hall."
