the admins do not need to be pinged in either the Suggestion nor the bug threads as they actively watch these two threads.

I support this. Maybe instead of every time someone posts, you can select which posts to watch for (e.g.: when there's a user selling you something but other people are interested in other items, you can just select the seller's username for ping & you'll only be notified of their posts - that way your ping isn't flooded with other useless pings you don't need).
