I'm way late on responding to this, BUT!

After defeating the boss, I've always seen little chest markers on the map for loot that I had missed.

I intentionally ran through and skipped loot boxes for this one. As soon as the boss was defeated, all loot locations were revealed on the map :D

It didn't distinguish between coffers and chests (I know I skipped coffers) and I don't think it distinguishes eggs either. Pretty sure it all shows up as just the basic chest box.

(And after running around a bit... Loot cleared!)

But I do agree, it'd be nice to know where you have and haven't been on the map just as a matter of convenience. Easier to snag every room while you're running through the first time. BUT, you don't have to worry about missing any loot! Just... maybe running back a long way to get it once the boss is dead and the map lets you know where any skipped loot is waiting, lol

Ohh, that's good to know :0 I was always so afraid of missing anything that I never got the chance to see that there were markers afterwards lmao. So that helps, a little bit ^w^

but. yeah. my point still stands that I think it should be optional, just like the "have less encounters" thing is optional lol

I can confirm that there are no separate markers for eggs, they are also shown as chests on the map after the main boss is down.

I would also like to add my begging to this thread. Please, please, give us a map function that shades where we've been after picking up the dungeon map! Until beating Vexar I had been hand drawing the maps and shading them in myself, which sucked. I know the boxes show up after you beat a boss, but until I could actually beat each boss that didn't help at all. It can take newer players 15 weeks before being able to beat Vexar, if they ever manage to get the barracks up at all, which means they also have to figure out a way to track where they've been or just keep wandering. For players who are just entering the temple with stone gear they may not be able to beat the lower bosses, and I know there were a few players who are stuck on Akyos or the Horseman that would love a function like this.

Shorthand: I would have loved it and it could really help newer/struggling players until they can beat the bosses.

Yeah, I've been thinking about this for a while actually and just never got around to posting something about it myself. But I use the map the same way, to keep track of where I have and haven't been yet as I look for chests. The full map reveal is great if you're looking for bosses, but I definitely think there should be an option to reject it if you're trying to keep track of which rooms you've visited.
