(I already have a name and character for the wizard, but I think your name is funny! So I'm going to make it a fake name for him haha) Niki:
Niki snorted loudly.
"Lord Priss-eus seems to have cash to spare. I almost say we just rob him," he stops for a moment "Buuuut that would probably get us kicked out of the guild. Ruins he says? I think I've passed through them once before, on my way here from my hometown in the mountains. They were pretty huge, but everyone said they were haunted."
He huffs and leans back in this chair, crossing an ankle over his knee and folding his arms in front of his chest, leaving the cat commission on the table.
"They weren't. At least, not as far as I knew. I even stayed the night, I had no encounters with anything paranormal. People are just scared of nothing." they click their tongue, looking up at the ceiling.
"What should we do? Nobody else here is capable enough to take this commission. The one other adventuring group that might've been able to has traveled west to the capital, accompanying a foreign nobleman who's caravan was killed. So I say we buy some fish and catch these cats before we head off. It'll also give us time to grab supplies, and we can head off after lunch.

Snorting a laugh at the name "Priss-eus" Mara gathered her composure and said "It seems that he does have gold to spare....." Pausing briefly at his robbing the lord idea, Mara glossed over it and continued. ".......and I've heard of the ruins but I've never been there before. I hope there's nothing too bad at the ruins that we can't handle." Looking from Crunch to Niki, Mara listened to the half-elf talk about the other adventurers in the guild. Since the others were on a commission it only made sense for them to take this job. Mara snapped back to the conversation with mention of cats. Mara cringed and agreeded but had to say. " ... You know you're gonna have to get those things because I can't. I'll buy the fish to lure them though, and any supplies we need just you get those "things".

Niki raised a cotton-candy colored eyebrow and smirked.
"Things? Whatever do you mean?" he asks, his voice dripping in sickly sweet fake innocence and sarcasm. "I'm afraid I don't know."
His red eyes glint with a playful malice that only Mara ever gets to see. For everyone else, they just saw actual malice from him.

Watching Niki's face curl into a smirk and saying "Things? Whatever do you mean?" Mara felt a bit of anger rise but as she watched him, she saw it was a bit malicious because he knew she was terrified of cats but at the same time he was poking fun at her. It was rather weird for her to be afraid but she was, especially since she had a pet Alligator. Mara chuckled a bit after regaining her composure and as she finished, she punched Niki right in the left arm near the shoulder not enough to impead his fighting ability but enough to to be a bit sore. " Can we get moving, it's gonna take us time to get all the supplies we need." Mara smirked showing her tusks again she signalled to Crunch and turned her back to Niki.

Niki swatted Mara back, huffing.
"Don't worry about it. I'll get the fish and round up the fuzzy feline friends. You get whatever you think we'll need for this adventure. It'll take a few weeks, so make sure to get me a new waterskin sense I busted mine last time I got in a barfight," he says, grinning. He thought it was incredibly funny that he had bashed that guy over the head with his waterskin. Sure, it had exploded getting both of them soaking wet, but it was hilarious. And the look on that guy's face had made it all worth it.
(want to timeskip to after mara finishes shopping and niki catches the cats?)

Sighing a bit with relief Mara exhaled, he may have been making fun of her but Niki in his own way cared about her phobia. She found herself at ease that he'll take care of those felines while she shops for supplies. "Is that all you need because I was just gonna get the basics, food and water, camping supplies but if you want something more specific we'll have to go to more than the general store." Mara looked at Crunch and smirked.
(Sure, a time skip would be fine.)

Nikolas thinks for a moment, tapping his pointer finger to his chin.
"Nothing that I can come up with off the top of my head, no. Oh but I would like to request dried mangoes if you can find any," he says, rising. He glances at crunch, grinning and deciding to poke fun at Mara again, and bring up an old running joke.
"I'm still a fan of the idea of eating that gator before it tries to eat me," he says, sarcastically, chuckling. He then picks up his bag and walks towards the door.
"Meet me by the northern gate of town at lunchtime!" he calls without turning back

Mara huffed and puffed out her cheeks, looking at Niki as he walked out, exhaling she responded with ".....Fine...." Then looking at Crunch, Mara said "I think there is a stall with fresh fruit near the general store, I think it's about a few buildings down the street." Heading out the door, Mara was met with bright sunshine. She squinted and batted her long eyelashes in response to the sun. Looking both ways she decided that it was the best way to get to the general store by the left way, so she headed in that direction it was the easiest route. Mara walked for a bit then took the second right. Looking around the street she saw plenty of stores and stalls open to sell all kinds of odd and ends. Mara thought about when she would get all the supplies she'd get herself a new cloak after the main shopping of course. Passing most of the stalls and store she saw a sign saying "dried fruit 5 gold for 4 bags or 1 bag for 2" Mara looked down at Crunch and said "Alright! Sounds good!" Mara walked over to the small stand and asked " Can I get 4 bags of dried Mango?" The owner looked over to Mara and without a word grabbed 4 bags, gave them to Mara who gladly took them and without a blink held out their hand waiting for payment. Mara dropped the coins into the owners hand, they made a soft clinking sound. The owner took one of the coins and bit it then when they were satisfied they gave Mara a thumbs up with a smile, the smile showing that they had no tounge. Mara nodded and tipped her head in the direction of the general store.
(I like adding a little depth into the world sorry if it's super long)

Niki sighs angrily and walks up to the northern gate. He's a half an hour late because of those damned cats. The first two were no problem, but the third was fatter than the other two put together and had gotten itself stuck in a tree. When niki had tried to help, the cat had scratched up their left arm immensely. He was tempted to tell that equally fat noble that the cat had died, but he knew he'd loose a cut of his pay if he did. So, he put up with it and brought the thir cat back, obtaining his large sum of gold.
Niki caught their own reflection in a nearby puddle and groaned. There were few things Niki hated more than looking like a wreck, and he definitely did right now. He began tidying up his hair as best he could, while making his best effort to get the white cat hair off his black cloak.

"Where have you been?!?!..." Mara shouted at the sight of pink hair moving towards her but upon closer inspection, Mara saw that his hair wasn't in its usual tameness and she saw he was trying his hardest to clean his jacket of fur. Mara sighed, it looked like that commission was a handful but even though it pains her to see Niki like this, she also was glad it wasn't her. Taking a few steps towards Niki she held out a pack with a rolled up sleeping bag on it with some metal appliances hanging from it. "You sure look like ******, you up for this?" Mara said guestering towards the gate."
