Locke frowned, scratching at his ear. "Hm... Well, let's see. They're exotic stones, from tha southern part of tha western continient. Usually quite a s'pensive import. They're ah bit finiky, though; crack easily, an' need to be soaked now an' then."

Selkie nods once, "Thank you but do you know if they have any other properties such as magic or something else?"

Diablo sat in the crows nest on weather watch. He still didn't feel cold but the breeze felt good up here, and up here was at least quieter than it was down on deck. He could hear crewmates chattering and others just getting up. He hadn't slept very well last night but that'd been normal for him for awhile. He yawned a bit welcoming the bit of sunlight that poked over the horizon

Below on the deck Selkie paces. Fowards to the rail than to the other. It was pretty ovious that something was bothering him and not just the ship being stuck in the ice. Thanks to Locke's efforts the Crest was nearly out of the ice.

Locke shrugged. "They say it's teraputic for those who have experienced certain types o' abuse, but Ah don't believe in that' sort of thing."

Selkie nods once, "Alright thank you."

Kai sniffs around looking for Kaladin or his sister. She had something special in mind for both.

(Should I pull Kai vanishing now or later?)

Locke gave a firm nod. "Aye, o' course," He spoke. "...Somethin' on yer mind?"

"A sailor asked me to hold onto his necklace which has a fire opal on it until he wanted to come talk to me," Selkie explains.


(Time skip a few days without Kai?)

Locke lifted a brow. "Diablo?" He inquired.
(Go for it.)

Selkie nods once, "Yeah."

It had been about four days since Kai had been seen by anyone in the village. The last sign anyone had seen of her had been around beach.

(The reason why I wanted Matimeio to be trained by Kaladin at the tie when Kai disappeared is because I needed Kal at least partially distracted and why she dislikes Matimeio so badly. I finally found a way around that.)
