Diablo nodded,"I just felt bad leaving without telling him anything" he mumbled.He'd already known he'd be punished,that was normal for him.


"to see eva!!?" evermore remarked happily

"Sure," Starlight agrees.


Selkie sighs quietly, "I understand that believe me I do."

Diablo almost replied with Then why did we leave without telling him!? but he bit his lip and held back the remark.

Evermore grabbed starlight's hand with gusto and started leading the way to the stables

"The reason I left without telling him is so he wouldn't try to convince me to let him come along,'' Selkie explains, "I would have relented.''


Starlight follows, her mind elsewhere as Evermore leads.

"Do you think eva will be happy to see us?" evermore asked.

Diablo knew that feeling,he'd just left without telling anyone years ago for that same reason."ok" he muttered sofly,his hand almost went to the necklace but it didn't.

Starlight shrugs, "I don't know but most likely she will be."

Selkie frowns thinking aloud, "Diablo both of us have made mistakes with the best of intentions.Your punishment is the dawn watch tomorrow and for the next week on top of your other shifts."

Diablo shoulders slumped in relief, he was expecting something much much worse."I can do that" he remarked.It wasn't like he was getting much real sleep with that mirror thing haunting his dreams

"Fair warn the dawn watch is the worst one," Selkie warns, "and for the record you'll tell the crew I punished you severly or else I will step up the punishment. The only reason it's so light is because I understand why you did it. Also I recommend seeing a physiatrist."

Diablo was visibly confused for the last part but nodded.

(True but who could people have gone to if they needed therapy or something like that?)

"Or at least talk to someone," Selkie corrects.
