Marcos uses a spyglass to watch the captain, "Incoming!"
The next second something large hits the ship.
"What was that," Percy asks.
"Not another killer whale," Nathanial growls, "This happened last time too."


Selkie's eyes glow, "Your ship's in trouble."

Locke's eyes widened, then narrowed. "Drayke should be close by, I'll guide him over, but Ah need ta get down there." He growled, dashing towards the side of the ship.

"Last time??!" Scope squawked incredulously.

Selkie grabs Locke and gently pulls him back, "I don't think it's what you think it is. It's a whale mom protecting her calf that's tangeled up near the ship."

"Every time I come up here the ship I'm on gets attacked by a whale."

Locke brought his gaze around to meet Selkie's. "They travel in packs Laddie. If there are two, there are bound ta be more nearby." He responded urgently. "The Rebound can't handle a beatin' from ah whale fer too long. Iffin we're gonna handle this peacably we need ta act fast."

"And you didn't think to mention this?" Scope deadpanned.

"I thought I had the migrations mapped out and we were safe. Something diverted them from their normal migration path," Nathanial explains.


Without warning Selkie dives into the water and swims towards the whales. When he gets there he works on cutting the struggling calf free. The minutes tick by as he's underwater.

(I dissapeared for a weekend and come back to whales..whoopie)

Diablo heard a bit of commotion on deck and hurried back up.He got up just as selkie dove over.."What's going on?" he asked

"A pod of killer whales are attacking Locke's ship because a calf is trapped near them," A crewman answers, "It's a bad situation that Selkie's trying to remindy."

Locke growled softly, then hopped down after him. While he wasn't built for being underwater for long periods of time like Selkie was, he had a bit of practice diving.

Scope dug his talons into the deck as another shove rocked the ship. "Like what??"

"How should I know but if I were to guess a calf," Nathanial answers, "Do you know if there is another stormcaller on this ship?"

Seaweed rushes down to Locke, Bad idea Selkie has this covered trust him please or you'll freeze to death down here.


After about twenty minutes Selkie cuts the calf free and it swims back to it's mother. Almost out of breath Selkie fights to the surface. His tortured lugs gasp for air as he treds water. After about thirty seconds he goes to find Locke.
A whale gently keeps Selkie at the surface as he searches.

Diablo looked at his hand,he hadn't felt cold since...he couldn't remember."So we just wait to see how things go?" he asked glancing back out at the water..."That's all we can do?"
