Kai runs ahead to find Kaladin.

Kaladin glanced up when he saw Kai run over, looking slightly flustered, although he finally appeared a bit more attentive. "A-are you alright?? I looked over and you weren't there a-and..."

Kai grabs Kaladin's glove and pulls towards Adsila, Talk now explain later okay?

"That doesn't make any sense," Kaladin noted, but he followed anyway, throwing Diablo a brief look as if to say 'I'll be only a moment'. Adsila promptly met up with them again, flashing her brother a reassuring smile.

It will in a minute, Kai walks towards Adsila releasing Kaladin's glove, Tell him what Seaweed told us than I'll explain why I left.

Adsila glanced at Kai briefly before handing off the bottled message. "I think your friend ran into a bit of trouble up north..." She started as Kal hesitantly unrolled the paper and started reading.

The message was from Selkie briefly explaining that they would be delayed on their way back due to ice. It also asked if Diablo had deserted on Angel's Island if so they were going to have words when Selkie got back. The last little bit was a few questions for Kaladin such as how are you and can you think of a way to get a ship clear of the ice without breaking the ship?
Basically the message greatly played down the danger that Selkie and the crew were in.
Kai glances up at Kaladin, Well?

Diablo still felt nervous in the village...he still wanted to go grab that thing he'd dropped earlier,during the battle.

(I mean, Diablo can do what he wants, Kaladin's occupied. Amory might try go for a kill if he tries it, though--)

Kaladin stiffened a bit in a mix of concern, fear, and frusteration, then let out an exhale. "...It's fine. I'm fine." He mumbled to himself in reassurance before glancing at Kai. "I'm going to write back. I don't know much about ice though..." He said, although his answer sounded hesitant, almost reluctant.

Kai glances back in Diablo's direction before turning his attetion to Kaladin, Selkie always gets himself into trouble and out so this will be no different just wait and see.
