i scramble to my feet, looking around wildly. there's no where to go, the underbrush is too dense for even my cat form to fit through! "where do we go!?" i ask, looking around. surely someone will have an idea, right!? the only way i can see now is dead ahead, but i don't know how much longer this path goes, and the noise sounds like it's coming from every direction!

" There isnt realy a whole lot of option, we can eather try our luck with climbing a large tree or try to get to the water..." The tip of his tail was flicking nervously as he glared into the thick foliage around them, both of the options had their own issues but unless there was a cliff to climb somwhere around there was only so many ways to avoid being crushed by whatever was in the darkness.

with nothing else to do, i shift into cat form, scrambling up the nearest tree trunk and clinging to the thickest branch i can find, looking around wildly for the source of the noise or a way to escape it.

She growled and dug her claws into he nearest tree and climbing up it, she was a very good climber, she jumped from branch to branch catching herself a few times as her claws slipped but made it to the top

The rumbling grows louder and louder, and suddenly i can see a herd of odd creatures running towards us. they look like perytons, but without the wings. there's hundreds of them, and they are coming at us pretty fast.

She clings onto the tree tightly seeing the herd coming our way, she wondered what spooked them but didn't wanna get trampled

Thang

He had coiled himself, high into a tree, with his tail warped both around a few sturdy branches and the trunk from where they were attached too. Thang was somwhat disgusted at the sight of the deformed herd as it went closer, confirming once more the twisted nature of this place in his eyes.

the things rush past, bodies moving together fluidly like a river, flowing over downed logs and down the path. finally, after minutes of running, the herd finally disappears over the horizon.

sighing, i climb down to the ground, poking at the hoof prints in the dust with my nose. the creatures smell earthy. like prey. it's obviously too big of prey for me to catch in this form, but in my other form....not to mention, the others could hunt them in both forms.
