A pained sound escapes me as Niki grabs my shoulder. I let my other arm fall to the side so he can inspect it.
"I... okay." I whisper back, looking down at my dusty shoes, "I trust you. Just do it quickly."
I take a deep breath in, preparing myself for the pain. I should have stayed behind everyone. I think bitterly. Idiot.

My breath cuts halfway through and gives way to a pained yell. My shoulder still hurts but it hurts much less now. I suck a breath through my teeth and look up at Niki.
"No it's okay. I think... it feels better now, thank you."
I look over at Techno and Dani handling the brunt of the attack.
"Maybe we should go to the back or something. I don't have a weapon anymore and I don't think I'm fit for fighting, anyway."

"You're welcome," I say "And yeah, I think we should try and get behind Tech and Dani. It'll probably be safer for us non-fighters," I say with a chuckle.

"Either that kid's knees were made of iron or I'm tired. I think I'm just tired." I laugh, pushing myself away from the wall, "I noticed before the fight that all of you already have a weapon, too. Like, Nero has a bat, you have a knife, Tech has a sword- I need to get something to protect myself." As I talk I look around for where my pole might be.

"Your pipe is over there," I say, pointing at the fallen kid. "I think it's doing more damage without you though," I say, laughing so hard tears run down my face.

I roll my eyes at Alex's laughing. I'm making sure to keep an eye out for anyone trying to sneak up on us, wiping tears off my face.
I turn as I hear someone approach us from behind. As I turn, I see it's just Tommy. I nod at him as he darts past, going to attack some of the invaders that're trying to escape Techno.
