I read the first section (his egg seems odd)

"...In fact, it was there when the rift opened up! Noone can identify it's parents, as they're from another world. We don't have enough information to reach a conclusion, but the Event was during a Dimensional Maxinium (a time when the dimensional activity is highest). We'll need to look closer."

I read the second and third part too and if it's abandoned I adopt it...?
