Henri groaned in frustration. They hadn't thought of any of those things. It just seemed like a sore opportunity to miss chasing after something so interesting. Would they really lose track of the centaurs or whatever Azrail saw? Henri was beginning to doubt they were centaurs after all. "Maybe...maybe we just get past these trees and see where the group went. We can catch up at our own pace if we know where they're going," they managed to gasp out. "I'm really not much for running so I don't think I can do this for long!"

"I can scout ahead, see where they're going and then come back and lead you guys." Azrail offers, not seeming to be winded. His father had taken him on runs before, usually more than a mile, in the hills behind their houses. Shoot, he really wanted to go back home. All this time to think about home away from home was making him homesick. He was ready to switch to a new faster pace once everyone - or at least someone - gave him the green light to run ahead and see where they were going. Maybe running faster would mean he could outrun all his worries and memories.

"I..." Henri had to pause to consider that. It wasn't wise to send one of them out alone in such an unfamiliar area. If what they followed turned out to be an enemy, Azrail would be in a whole world of trouble and they wouldn't even have a way to know. The thought left Henri bitting into their lower lip. "I think if we split up, it should be into groups of two. Running ahead might be our only chance, however. Is there anyone else who can run and keep up with Azrail?" Henri knew it wouldn't be them. "Me and whoever else stays back can do a little more exploring, maybe start trying to map out this land."
