Kora
She was amazed with how the outside world looked. It was so bright, unlike the place they just got out of. "Where do we go from here? We're so high up and it- it's so white?" She said it more like a question. "We have to go find a place to rest, then work our way down from this, this thing. Or we get down right now."

Of course, those who escaped weren't the only ones enjoying the chilly night air.
Jen finally made her way outside, clicking a magazine into her rifle along the way as the facility door slammed shut behind her. Guards inside were still working on restoring the power at a feverish pace and at this point, taken to securing the exit ways manually.
Doc shivered slightly in the cold, his antennae and fur puffing up as he tried to conserve his body heat. He heard chattering in the distance, but wasn't quite sure yet if it came from human mouths, keeping his taser gun drawn lowly by his side.
"Did ya get a lock on how many got out of here, Doc?" Jen hefted up her rifle, reseating it on the sling over her shoulder.
"No. But I should be able to see more clearly from here on out. Doing a sweep of the premises shouldn't take too long between the both of us. Take the left side. I will meet you around the other."
The moth started off towards the right side of the building without a further word.
"Roger that. Just yell if ya need any backup."

Boreal
The outside world was so beautiful. A beauty she had never seen. A steep cliff was to their right, a snowbank, the peak of the mountain, and a slope leading to a forest below to their left.
"I don't know Kora. I'm sort of tired. Maybe we should find somewhere hidden to rest?"

She had looked around, her eyes finally landing on the forest. "Why not go to the left? The forest should provide us enough cover until the morning. Or well, I hope." She had mostly spoken the last part to herself. "Be careful though."

"Alright, forest it is." Boreal carefully walked down the slope leading to the forest. Then she looked for a place to rest, eventually finding where an old pine tree had fallen. She dug out the snow underneath the tree, letting the pine bows shield her from falling snow. She lays down in the place she has made, looking up through the branches at a now setting sun.

She was small enough to slide in next to her sister, but she had dug a bit in the back for more room so they wouldn't be cramped. "I'm sure we'll be fine out here. We do have to find food though. I'll head out later and try to find something." A purr had escaped her as she rested her head on the dirt.

Jen kicked a bit of snow around as she slowly trudged around the building. The sun was setting and it definitely wasn't going to make it any easier for her to see anything through this stupid helmet. She had half the mind to throw it off at this point and totally would, if it wasn't so chilly. Seemed most of the perimeter was clear but.. She stopped at the sight of tracks in the snow, tracing them with her eyes down a mountain slope. Jackpot. She waved back at the moth, shouting.
"Hey, Doc. Doc, over here. Got eyes on some tracks heading out to the woods here. Not sure if it's just mountain lions, but they definitely look like they came from one of ours. Need your eyes."
The moth wasted no time rushing over from the other side of the building. He examined the tracks and shined a flashlight down the mountainside. No doubt. They were on the move.
"Cover my back. Any sudden noise or motion might startle it once we move into the woods. The night will cover me much better than your armor." He muttered to her as he clicked the flashlight off and started down the slope.
