Gagging, I follow where the smell leads me, trying to see what it is and what may have caused that smell. Picking up Dagar, I shift MilkyWay onto my shoulders and hold Dagar to my chest.

Deep, down in a ditch, you see a broken corpse..It's the older male wolf from earlier. His neck is snapped. Dagar whimpers softly.
