Darkness poked Coastal with one claw, completely missing Rhythm's question. "Wake up, moon-eyes, or we're never going to get to the Sea Kingdom." She spread her wings and beat them, once, twice, preparing for flight. "Wait... but how are you going to get to their palace?" she asked, looking back at Rhythm. "Do you have...like...a boat or something?"

"We could probably find something to float her on, or we could just carry her. I'd swim there but my sorry excuse for gills can't process the salt, I can barely breathe in fresh water as it is, maybe a few strained breaths, the longest I could do it was half an hour, I almost drowned attempting salt water." Coastal said. Her mind suddenly started to wander. "Maybe I could find Scorch and ask him for help, he's such a nice dragon, look at this beautiful necklace he got me, do you think he's interested in me? Did you know he's actually a Sandwing PRINCE! How incredible is that, a prince gave me the most beautiful necklace ever!" Coastal swooned while rambling.

Darkness rolled her eyes, but internalized the information. Gills. So a half-SeaWing. And that SandWing, Scorch, was a prince. Hmm. "You could ask, but I doubt he'd answer," she said. "I can't see him anymore." And you're definitely obsessed with him now, she mentally added.

"Right, yeah, I'm probably being stupid, if he really did care he wouldn't have run off like that..." Coastal said. She still could t help but fall for the Sandwing prince. "I can carry Rythm I feel we need to, I've carried much larger dragons before, I think I can handle her" Coastal said, semi-confidently.

"All right," Darkness said. "But when have you carried larger dragons? And...why?"

"You've obviously never met my siblings" Coastal said. "They could be so stubborn sometimes, and they're a lot heavier than they look" Coastal remembered, smiling.

"One thing that I've learned in my journey is how to make rafts for water travel, so we can cross that barrier when we reach it, but could we take a mostly land route before we go out to sea?"

"Yeah, we could, I have. No problem with it" Coastal said. She never flew too much, and had a lot more stamina walking rather than flying.

"That's fine with me," Darkness agreed, and she began toward the dragon's tail.

-sure-
Coastal dipped her talon in the water, shuddering. Coastal never really swam before, but she was a Seawing, it was in her blood to be in the ocean, but she felt so unsure about it. She looked at her necklace for a few seconds, then at her talons. "No" she said in her head.
